I detailed the play right after the Rangers game. Also look at Briere. What is he doing? He is neither in good position offensively, or defensively. It's a simple case of one of the biggest issues with this team. All 3 Forward favored the offensive side of the puck. Nor is the breakout in sync, as he detailed all 3 forwards standing still and flatfooted. What chance do you have to get on the puck?

Yes, he did. He continued to go deeper into the offensive zone. As soon as he sees Lunqvist get the puck, and realize there is no way he get's to the puck on the forecheck. He should have done am immediate turn to drop back into the neutral zone. There is play after play of the same thing. This team plays the offensive side of the puck far too much. And is far too aggressive and gambling on the offensive side of the puck.

I honestly believe the Flyers have zero interest in moving Timonen. IMO, he will finish his career in a Flyers uniform.

Put him on a team like Boston or St. Louis and the have enough team defense they won't have to worry about Briere being a liability.

if we can't move briere, we can buy him out and that's one of the reasons i think he will consent to a trade to a contender.

kimmo, on the other hand, is clearly on the decline and i feel that homer pulled the trigger too soon on that re-up. love what he brought us, but this d needs to be re-built at the top end and i'd like to pile up as many assets as i can if i'm homer.

I'd take Briere on the Pens for a low cap hit. He could be used on Crosby's line for sure.

Agreed. However I dont think we'll be able to move him tho. I would move him for a 2nd rounder in a heart beat if I could. He's driving me nuts.
