I don't think rebuild is the word if they can keep the core of Giroux,schen, couturier, Simmonds, voracek together. Also a new voice in the room might be all it takes.

Have to get the bang for the buck. I just dont know if the Flyers organization is that confident in having Bryz here for another 6-7 years.

It's possible. I would keep it as an option. I think with a solid team in front of him he would be fine. But like you said before they can get a cheaper guy to provide that.

Briere has looked bad. He's playing like he's injured. And Coburn, jeez such a big drop-off from last year. I haven't a clue on this group. I'm not a Lavy cheerleader by any means. If his inability to make adjustment and motivate players is the reason for the poor season then give him his papers. I just don't know enough to make the call but I get a sense that him and the GM aren't on the same page.

I get that sense, too.

My biggest reason for dismissing him isn't just this year. I detailed a lot of it in an earlier post.

Buriyng Bobrovsky after 1 bad period in the 2011 playoffs, 5-17-1 vs NYR & NJD this year and last year, seeming inability to adjust to a disciplined, tight checking team with decent talent for the last few years(i.e. Tampa Bay).

I know you didn't like him, but look at sestito, scores two goals to win a game, gets waived shortly after. I don't like that modus operandi in a season like that.

He's been invisible in a few games this year, but he's a point per game player, do you expect him to be better than that?

I'd rather keep Bryzgalov, at least for one more year. But if they were to buy him out, I'd rather them go after a solid veteran to split time with a kid like Bishop or even Jake Allen, if they could get one of them.

A guy like Jonathan Bernier would be too expensive and Luongo's deal is troubling.
