It's sort of unbelievable. He hasn't been awful, but he has been inconsistent.
He's also got no luck whatsoever. - Jsaquella
Its like Thoreson, he just cant catch a break.
At the end of the day in this salary cap world I look at what he provides for what he is paid, and for the term of his contract.
Inconsistency is a killer. |

If you think this coach stinks, wait til you get a load of the next guy. - PLindbergh31

The next guy will be great. Lavi can't make adjustments. Reminds me of Andy Reid. - stveshdy
Looking forward to the guy they hire who has a Cup on his resume. |

If it's Murray certainly not. He won't have the longevity to coach 23 games against those teams. |

Couturier was terrific last year. This year not so much. Takes D-man much longer time to develop. Hamilton is struggling mightily for the Bruins. - PLindbergh31
Cooties was incredible last season defensively. He even showed elements of a good offensive game.
This season is really a step back, in every department, even in terms of effort in the simplest of things.
I think there was a time when he was considered untouchable. He was even to me, to a degree. He is not anymore. Under the right deal, he can be replaced. Its hard because the kid is so young, and I know everything is overanalyzed a bit but he has shown me some things this year that are concerning. |

It's about making money, not success on the ice. Rangers were still getting crowds & making money. Always will - their fans are not fair weather. - Flyskippy
Yup thanks. Been crying after every playoff ouster since 1980 |

He will probably be traded at some point. He wasn't moved for Weber, instead he will be traded for a guy that isn't half the player Weber is. |

So if Murray is named coach, what has he done for you lately? Guy hasn't won a playoff series in 15 years. |

Really? Hmm...If Laviolette if fired tomorrow, he would have coached 24 fewer games as Flyers head coach than Murray did as LA's coach. |

He blows! Playing on the second pairing on the top team in the East. Not to mention he leads the B's defense core in scoring. He's a (frank)ing stiff. |

Won't know unless he gets an opportunity. Not asking for Murray to get the job anyways. Just asking for a change at this point. This team is horrendous defensively and part of that goes with the coaching. |

That doesn't fly when the owner comes out and publicly orders the GM to "fix" the goaltending. - Jsaquella
It does to me when the GM hasn't placed a quality goaltender between the pipes since 1987. |

Just wondering.
The lockout had me in kind of a "meh" mood before this season began.
Anyone else getting close to it? |

So, we should ignore all the other pronouncements of the owner, too? How dare we criticize Mr. Snider and his Good Ol Boy network? |

One team came to play hockey today. The Flyers looked like an AHL team out there today. |
