I just wanted to know why a guy like Fedotenko keeps being brought up as a poopty player in his role, when in fact the stats don't support it. The stats do support other, more prominent players as being poopty.

your original point was fine. being that he's a relatively inconsequential plyr, i didn't think witnesses for the prosecution and a writ of habeas corpus were necessary.

Wow...lots of debate about trading Coots, and whining that Fedotenko is not doing enough? Really?

Also, we don't need a #1 stud d-man to win games. We need forwards that know how to cover their damn checks, backcheck, and pressure the puck in all three zones. So if we're going to trade Coots because he's not putting up good numbers with Rinaldo and Talbot ,etc., we should demand 6 forwards that can (frank)ing play defense as the return, not a #1 d-man.

The problem on this team is not the defensemen (other than Gervais, who is ghastly). It's the forwards.
