Who are the better options? Provide some facts that back up your premise. - MJL
Just from the top of my head Adam Hall, Dupuis, Torres, Steckel and Boyd Gordon are all UFA's at season end.

I blame the coach for that. Needs to put these players in a better position to succeed. - stveshdy
Instead of telling them to play slow and sloppy and take a lot of penalties. Agreed. All Lavi's fault. |

A pretty realistic approach. Not too shabby. Gagne actually hasn't been as bad as I thought he might be. If he signs a good deal, Id take a shot on him.
Ive moved to the buyout Bryzgalov camp personally. Was neutral before, but not anymore. Yourself? - flyer_nutter
With the right coach employing a better defensive system which all the players buy into... Bryz can be adequate. There are still games left to be played, but at this pace a buyout is possible. I was a Bryz defender until this past week or so, starting to turn. |

Can't make adjustments. Coach is a fraud. Time to get a coach who can use his brain and play to the strength of his team.

Why are they better options?
Raffi Torres and Pascal Dupuis aren't 4th line players. |

I'm tired of the inconsistant play. The Flyers aren't getting enough bang for the buck. Bryz is being paid like a superstar yet his performance since being here is alittle above average at best. |

Yet their salary is similar to Fedetenko's this season. |

Dupuis is playing with Crosby and Kunitz. That line is pretty solid. |

Can't we all go back to the days where the Flyers were playing well and we were singing kumbahyah with eachother?

No goalie on Earth would look good with 5 clowns in front of him like Bryz has had to sustain this season. Would you look good as a goalie with 5 clowns?
Exhibit A:
(not exonerating Bryz fully, but he's been the second-best player this season after Scoracek) |

You forget that, in those days, there was arguing and complaining over who the Alumni Game goalie would be. |

He's not at total fault but he shares some of the blame at times. |

No, he's been fantastic. Really.
How could any idiot find fault with a coach that has Danny Briere plying more minutes per game than Jake Voracek, Scott Hartnell and Wayne Simmonds?
And Nik Grossmann-there's no way that he should be seeing more than the 18 minutes per game he's getting. He's terrible.
As for his poor record against New York and New Jersey, it's not like they play those two teams a lot. No big deal at all. |

I agree, he can be better, but he's about 20th in line for being the whipping boy.
1st if you're WIP, 97.5, WPVI, or CSN's intermission/post-game crew. |

The only team he out coaches is Pittsburgh, and that's because Pitt is the only team that brings out their dumb like we do. |

If you skip the terrible team defense in the 3:12 minutes they got lit up, it's probably a pretty good game to put the kids and yourself to sleep. |
