Grabner gets 9:22 in ice time today. His lowest amount in his 179 games with the Isles. How can anyone take Cappys comments about passengers and how they'll sit seriously when the guy who has given one of the most consistent efforts of any player on this team continues to see his ice time decrease?

If you think at this stage of the kids career he has more skill then Neilsen or brings more to the table then Cizikas.. you need to lay off the rock just a bit. All im sayin.

It's amazing Okposo, Bailey and Reasoner get more ice time than Grabner.

I agree with that, Grabs should be getting more time, reward the players doing the most.. its common sense.

There really is nothing common about it!

I'm going out on a limb and going to say most of us know people from within the club just bcs from what I've read on here i don't know maybe I'm being a bit naieve? Most of these people live on LI so it's not far fetched. There is no reason why Wang would want Capuano as coach, not one actually. Capuano is Snow's brain child. Garth Snow took him on as a temporary and extended him and here we are. Snow makes a lot more decisions then people want to believe on here. I get it people don't want to believe it but it's there for everyone to see, sorry. He has claimed as such numerous times and people still sit there and say it's Wang making him do it. It's (frank)ing hysterical. It's a bunch a fans wanting to believe he can't be that bad but guess what, he can be. It's a combination between him having no one wanting to work with him for obvious reasons and just being plain inept at his job. There is nobody in this league that would keep this guy on as coach at this point besides Snow. that's a fact! It's not Wang's fault on this one.

Exactly, not anything Capuano would do. A preschooler would make better decisions then him. Every time this team wins a game they deserve a round of applause for doing it in spite of him. It's not even his fault at this point he should'nt have been coaching an NHL club in the first place let alone be extended.

Nice win today, not gonna lie I was surprised with it being a day game and the ugly jersey's.

But now for some food for thought since in a few weeks will soon start the NHL/U.S. college free agents. Wonder if Snow will even make an offer to any of them and if we could somehow even land 1 of them. I wouldn't mind seeing them try to make offers to:

Dan DeKeyser 6'3" 23yo Dman with some upside

Andrej Sustr, The Huge Chara like Dman 6'8" 22yo seems to improved some but still sounds like a project

Ryan Walters, 6 foot 21yo forward & candidate for the Hobey Baker

Antoine Laganiere 22yo 6'4" forward from Yale

Reasoner needs to be put out to pasture. Sucks, guy was a good plyer for years but every time I watch him now it's borderline sad. If we have so much "depth" and all these wonderful "prospects" then why is this guy still playing at this point? We've been doing nothing but drafting for 6 years now, none of these great prospects could fill this role?

I also think Snow has more power than people think. I doubt Wang told Snow to send DP to the minors. It's to easy to just blame Wang for everything and say Snow has no power. Wang seems to like Snow and thinks he knows what he is doing. If Snow went to Wang and said I needed this coach I doubt Wang says no unless the coach will cost millions. Other teams have a small payroll and still have a solid coach. I really wish we could settle this hole Wang and Snow debate.

It's settled, some people just want to believe some conspiracy theory they invented in there head. Makes it easier to accept decisions/indecisions that's all. Wang has a lot of control, all owners do. That's the extent of it. Not saying Snow has it easy but Capuano is certainly Snow's coach.

Agreed. Snow is part of the US Hockey fraternity that Snow constantly draws from. It's been Snow's m. o. since the beginnig to bring in US born players and coaches. The most expensive coaches in the league only cost 2-3 million so i don't think finance is the issue either. I think it boils down to the approach they've committed to whether that is system driven or protocol. I can't speculate further than that. Either way, I'm concerned that Jack's successor is already behind the bench.

If it's going to be weight than lets do it already, enough with this nonsense. he has to have more hockey smarts than this panel and Capuano. it's a joke at this point, his decision making is bordering on insane. It's like he does the wrong thing on purpose. imagine being on the bench being Tavares and having half a brain and witnessing this shat and wanting to win? Thompson is a moron, i don't need to see another interview with the guy to know whether he is capable or not. If they make him coach then we should all pack it in till further notice as isles fans. Snow is the GM, this is his coach. He sucks. Anyone can spin whatever BS story they want but that's the truth. Time for change, i'm beginning to agree with UIF on this one, with a better coach who knows maybe we could squeak in. What troubles me is Snow did'nt see this last year when we all did? How about this year? You guys keep thinking you can't judge him on his performance that's fine but this alone is enough in my book to judge him on. Not one GM in the league would've kept this lame duck in his position for as long as Snow has. that's a fact.

Snow is not comfortable with a big name coach. Look what happened with Nolan. You can bet Weight is the next coach.

whether its true or not, I can only go by what most people have mentioned to me, either way, I dont care, bc I for 1, have been wanting an NHL head coach, even told my tixx guy, that this yr and upcoming years, I'm not coming back as a season tixx holder unless an influx of talent arises, or a real coach is on this team.

Tavares is a beast, no doubt and he's only going to get better. In the games where he doesn't register a point he's still such a force. Hopefully our management can get him some help and surround him with some talent.
