Not even being a homer but I'd take him over anyone in NY without blinking an eye, now I am being a homer I'd take him over anyone in the league
- Cptmjl

I think it's a legitimate argument to say he should be taken first overall in the league. The only two players I can honestly say are dominant playmakers and scorers like JT are Malkin and Crosby and both of them have durability issues.

A win tonight would be sweet. Is Poulin in net?

Best sniper in the NHL.... As a playmaker only so-so. Malkin, Tavares and Crosby all have elite vision and passing ability. Can't say that for Stamkos

Agreed nabby is playing good. Keep going with him. If they pull out a win today than we can start thinking a little positive about this team and that's coming from me.

I would have liked to see Poulin in yesturday.... I know it's a short season but Nabby isn't exactly a spring chicken and Poulin needed a game to redeem himself.

We won. At this point you have to ride the hot hand. I hear you he ain't no spring chicken but you have to go with him as much as you can. If he starts showing fatigue then you play poulin. So far he's not.

He's been durable enough to put up 40 points in 25 games.

I love JT but he's still 4th to me in terms of point producers behind the 2 Pens and Stamkos, still elite company. 3 of those guys make up my first line in Sochi.

It's going to be a shootout tonight, neither of these teams plays a lick of defense.

No fights... the NHL would suspend the entire team.

I can't stand to see Mario cry again!!!

Visnovsky settling in with Islanders?

By Victoria Matiash | ESPN.com

Due back sometime this weekend -- Saturday? Sunday? -- after attending to a sad, personal matter in Slovakia, defenseman Lubomir Visnovsky may soon be joined by his wife and kids. Kevin Schultz of Islanders Point Blank relays word from overseas that Visnovsky has found a home in Nassau County -- Jericho, specifically -- for the whole family.

However, Schultz cautions against making the assumption that Visnovsky is looking to re-sign with the New York Islanders.

"... I wouldn’t read too far into this in regards to Visnovsky staying longer than this season on Long Island. Many players rent houses, and there’s no indication here if that was or was not the case ..."

The 36-year-old is still thought to be most interested in signing as a free agent with a strong contender this summer.
