until they can pull off a few wins in a row, and ... you know, get ABOVE .500, then I say yeah, they're gonna have to win by 5 goals over bad teams for me to be satisfied. - FlyerGuy
You may be very disappointed from here on out, win or lose.
Buffalo's last seven games ended in a one goal differential. We happened to come out on the better side of the score this time.
I'm happy. |

The Devils own the Flyers, can't wait! - stveshdy
this team is so maddeningly inconsistent that they'll probably win the next 2 over the Devils, getting back to .500 and getting everyone hyped up ... and then go on a 6 game losing streak. |

i thought there was more time left than that. - hammarby31
Didn't the Flyers go on the PP shortly thereafter? Or had to kill one? Either way, I think they did have to use special teams, of which Rinaldo doesn't play. If that was the case, that'd leave about 5 minutes left in a one goal game....I can see Rinaldo not being out there in that situation.
Don't know if I'm right though. |

I'm happy with the win, but they should have thumped the Sabres. |

Beggars can't be choosers, people. A win is a W is a win. Especially for this team. Take the 2 points...eh maybe we could have played better- but let's string a few together here and be competitive again.
Or we could tank for a nice pick. Either one |

Columbus has won 5 straight. The Sabres are awful. The only reason they're not dead last is that Florida didn't get a point tonight. - Jsaquella

I don't think it's so much the score as it is how they bumbled around with this team for 60 minutes. - JoeRussomanno
yeah, it's not so much a score thing with me either.
the part that bugged me is the way the Flyers tend to wilt against teams who fight back, or are aggressive on their forecheck ... and I saw an awful lot of wilting in the 3rd period tonight against a VERY poor opponent. |

Considering it could have been 4 or 5 nothing in the first ten minutes I can see why people may be upset. And what happened to Ryan Miller? I know he was elite not that far back.
I'm happy with the win.
Mez looked pretty good.
Nice to see a shorty (it wasn't that long ago this team was leading the league in that category).

I'm so happy they have three 1st rounders as a welcoming gift to the East. |

I can't believe how bad Buffalo is. That looked like an AHL team out there tonight. Buffalo had a couple of scoring chances all night. That team is pathetic and the Flyers are just alittle above them. |

seemed to light a fire under Talbot as well ... he had a couple of nice chances after that. |

I thought the Flyers were the way better team, but the typical stupid stuff made it closer then it should have been. |

Vanek, Hodgson & Miller are good. Rest of the team is the walking definition of "meh."
Glad the orange & black won, but I cant too excited over it. |

No, but they've won 5 straight, so they're hot.
The Flyers are coming off a week where they should be pissed off. They should have destroyed the Sabres, but once again, the foot came off the gas and they had to hang on.
I'm happy with the win, but it wasn't something that erases any concerns. |

In a few years they will be a pain. Cant say I'm too happy to see Dubinsky back in the East either. |

Looking at their roster you can see why they're bad. Looking at the Flyers, you wonder why they aren't much better |

I agree. It didn't show me they turned the corner either. But it's a start and they have to start somewhere. |

When they play a decent team they will fall flat on their face. Devils up next can't wait to be tortured in that one. |

They finally have a real, intelligent hockey guy running things. The first hire, Jarmo Kekalainen as GM was brilliant. |
