They finally have a real, intelligent hockey guy running things. The first hire, Jarmo Kekalainen as GM was brilliant. - Jsaquella
This draft will be critical for them. |

Until they figure out the stupid stuff, we have to take the wins when we get them. - 77rams
Home and home with the Devils should be interesting.
Unless Brodeur is back in net, then not as much. |

Looking at their roster you can see why they're bad. Looking at the Flyers, you wonder why they aren't much better - Jsaquella

I agree. It didn't show me they turned the corner either. But it's a start and they have to start somewhere. - 77rams
I was just really hoping to see what Butsy said on Twitter-he noted Timonen got punched during a scrum, and said the Flyers should just come out and destroy the Sabres.
Instead they came within a quick thinking play by Brayden Schenn of being tied. |

The draft is Kekalainin's specialty. The Blues did a great job drafting while he was running their board. |

It's almost like the goalie wasn't expecting the shot.
Bench him. |

most interviews with players, during or post-game are a complete waste of time. "how important is it that you...." |

I don't read Butsy's tweets but I saw that punch and was a bit annoyed too.
My only guess is that they didn't want to take a retaliatory penalty and give the Sabes any momentum, or maybe they did what you're supposed to do and file it away for the right time. |

I think he meant just pour it on and bury them in an avalanche of goals, really embarrass them.
They allowed their intensity to dip and it nearly cost them. Hopefully they have an answer for the Devils this week. |

I'm happy for Bobo.
I always liked that kid for some reason. I thought with the proper patience, he had a good chance to be a decent goaltender. |

If that joke was the determining factor, then they haven't been paying attention to the rest of my life. - Jsaquella
ah, but you're honest about the rest of your life ... and honesty covers a multitude of sins, so you're good to go.
wait, maybe it's love that covers a multitude of sins. never mind.

They didn't have the same intensity level in the third. Had they had the same outcome, without the noticeable dip in intensity, I'd be a LOT happier tonight |

Mixed bag tonight... some good, some not so good.
At least Laviolette and Holmgren won't have to wear disguises to the town hall meeting tomorrow. - PLindbergh31
can someone ask Homer about Bryz and his rebound control? |

For all NHL defenseman Timonen is tied for second in points with 19 behind only Letang who has 26.
He has played a game or two more then most but still that surprised me. |

You gotta figure in the Karlsson injury, Weber & Suter getting broken up etc. But yeah, given how terrible he has been all too often this year in his own zone I hadn't even noticed. |
