Who gives a crap about their looks? Hall's play tonite was as dirty as any diving Canuck I've ever seen. He was after Shaw all night long.
You want to talk about looks? I hear Sharp's your man. Never considered it myself. - fourfeathers
Did you catch Hall screwing your GF in an extremely uncomfortable place? You know like the back of a Volkswagen. |

12 GA in 2 games. So much for the "best defense in the NHL"...
I can hear the pregame before thursday's game in Ohio..."we need to get back to a simple game"..."need to play a complete game"...blah blah blah - ArlingtonRob
"pucks on net"..."traffic in front" how about defensive positioning, win a draw and stop watching the guy with the puck.
Left after it was 4-0 after the 1st for another committment. I DVRed...so I get to really "enjoy" this one!
What is it about Edm that tbrings the sh!!!!tt out in this team. 12 goals in 2 gmes? Two 4 goal periods GA? Tell yea when this team blows...they do it in fashion!! |

Touche.
Can't argue with you. I have not been one Kane's fans.
The cab incident was an absolute embarrassment. - AL SEC0RD
He's a great player. But when it comes to being a douche Carcillo and Kane have Hall beat by a country mile. |

ZOMG.... Hall was a douche one time in his life.
Carcillo's been a douche his whole career.
- Reveen
Have to stop you right there man, but Hall has been a punk for as long as I've been watching him in the NHL. Fun fact, Hall has been suspended more than Carcillo has this year.
Carcillo is a bag-of-Richards more often than not, but that doesn't make Hall a saint by any stretch. And frankly Carcillo couldn't pull any douchy moves tonight because his arse was parked on the bench for most of the game. |

I've seen girl scouts tougher than carcillo. Q has tamed him... like he has the rest of the hawks. - moylander
Gorilla salad is just a guy, and not a very good hockey player.
I'd much rather have Ben Smith in the lineup...more talent and more heart, with a much better head on his shoulders. |

I'm with ya...good assessment.
I think the streak was a wonderful fluke. The consistancy of effort and results was amazing.
But it's over...and over in a BIG way. I'm hoping the old adage that "You're never as good as you look when winning, and never as bad as you look when losing" holds true.
But the Hawks need to straighten their sh!t out quickly before "the streak" becomes a bad joke in the sports world, as opposed to the great accomplishment it was just days ago. - ArlingtonRob
These two games have been quite the reminder that this team is good, but still has problems. I'll try to be optimistic that StanBo can pull something off in the next three weeks. As everybody knows, they need a better second-line center, and some tougher, grinding wingers (who can play decently) for the bottom two lines. |

Anyway you look at it...the Blackhawks appear to be starting a stretch of garbage hockey.
I'm not surprised in the least...the point streak was the surprise! ...and a fluke in my opinion.
My guess is the Hawks lose at least 12 games by seasons end...end up the 3 or 4 seed in the west...gone in the first or second round.
Unless SB improves the club by the deadline...and, the club enters the post season healthy...then they have a shot at reaching the finals. - ArlingtonRob

Yes and Edmonton has such a reputation for being such a low down dirty cheap shot team. (frank) sakes man we're the (frank)ing JOKE of the NHL. They pull off an absolute miracle considering their recent play and I have to listen to complaining about all the rotten cheap shots and ref favoritism? Losses happen. Believe me they Oil get cheap shotted plenty. So does everyone. Refs miss it. Against everyone. |

Without question.
and Hall didn't throw his knee out on Cluster(frank). He went for a hit and was careless about it. I didn't have an issue with his suspension. Butter(frank) has made his living on borderline hits. Live by the sword. - sanfordnson
Yeah I believe your right on that; I think the issue at least with whoever I was listening too was Buttercup didn't have the puck at that point and was ambushed by Hall. I'd have to watch it again though. |

Hawks lost because of the following:
Flat first period....like the they were in haze. Got caught standing still and not stepping in front of the Oilers the whole period. Sloppy puck control as well leaving the Oilers to play in the Hawks zone the whole period.
Couldn't stay out of the box. The key to beating the Oilers is keeping them off the pp. Hawks gave up 3 pp goals tonight.
It's two games so I'm not ready to be in freak out mode but..........seems like the hawks old bad habits have awaken.

He passed it like a second before Hall got there. In slow motion it might look dirty. At actual game speed Hall may have had a split second to veer off.
Like I said, the suspension was warranted for a careless play. not premeditated or dirty though. |

Penalty kill KILLED the Hawks, that and not showing up to start the game, which goes on Emery and a bunch of Hawks standing around waving at pucks. A couple of these guys appear to be very tired and/or reading their own, ahem, "press clippings."
Hossa was the Hawks' best player: 1/1 +1, 7 takeaways. |

Have to say how shocked I am at a lot of the crap I am reading here tonight. Someone help me out and direct me to the website that lays out the proper way to lose a game. I know I should just log out and move on, but really, now we are the same team that lost last year, Everyone afraid we can't kill penalties.
This is the Freaking NHL. The parity from top to bottom, the margin is hair thin. And a bad hop or an off shift and it shrinks or blows up in your face. That is the nature of the game.
A visit to a childrens hospital is more uplifting than most of you guys. For Gods Sake.
The wisdom of the board last few games is we need to learn from Colorado and Edmonton. Two teams that will likely not even make the playoffs. Here is a little clue guys. Both of those teams are trying to be the Hawks. The Hawks just ran off 24 with a point. I know it is all a mirage.
Anyways, lets hurry up and trade our roster and become like Phoenix so we are a little more physical and maybe we make the playoffs every few years. They you can get all those crucial body checks. Hey did you see faceoff stat tonight. Dominiated, we even won one clean and still gave up a goal. And Edmonton made 3 body checks all night.
The reality of it all is when the Hawks woke up and got engaged they carried the play for 2nd and 3rd period. Crawford made a couple of big saves to keep the game in reach.
Jamal Mayers needs to no dress anymore. It is like watching my dad come out and try to play baskeball with me and my buddys.
Call up Morin or Smith and find an energy guy for bottom six that has energy. |

JJ...isn't that stating the obvious? Hossa IS the Hawk's best player. No offense to Mr. Toews, he's a close second. |

Love Hossa. Kane, much as I may not like him, is a (frank)uva player too. |
