That was my first thought, too. I'd bench him for that ish.

He didn't score only because Rask made a fantastic save. A lesser goalie, e.g. Bryz, would have been beaten cleanly.

My LP of Genesis' And Then There Were Three... still has my math teacher's letter of recommendation tucked inside of it. Still one of my proudest possessions.

My favorite from Led Zeppelin is Physical Graffiti. My favorite packaging, though, is In Through the Out Door. The Paper Bag.. The photos from several different angles... Awesome.

With you on Physical Graffiti, but gotta go with either Selling England by the Pound or Trick of the Tail for Genesis.

Saw you are a Rush fan, too. Whats your fave Rush album? Mine is a toss up between their first live album, All the World's a Stage and Moving Pictures.

You have got to be kidding me.

He fooled Rask almost the entire way, the puck nearly crossed the line for God's sake.

I apparently had more money in high school because after I stopped delivering papers & got an hourly job I went to 3 concerts in 1989-90, my senior year: Robert Plant, Phil Collins, & Eric Clapton.
- Flyskippy

my senior year too...saw plant and clapton -twice on those tours - up at that poophole in east rutherford. good times.

This tweet pretty much sums up the Daugavins incident for me:

JapersRink ‏@JapersRink
I liked Daugavins' shootout attempt; if you're going to decide games with a circus sideshow, go full-Ringling Bros.

Just when I thought all your anger stemmed from hockey...

- Flyskippy

oh no.. i've got anger from many sources. hockey's a big one. speaking of which, i went ballistic after a 3-2 loss on sunday in our final regular season game of the year. it was good for me. broken stick, yelling in the room afterwards. it was fabulous.

David Lee Roth once said that Van Halen album covers were specifically designed to separate the seeds from a nicklebag worth of weed.

That would have been a great feature if true.

I wonder if Bill will post a new blog today. Two off days in a row and he has a new child. Personally, I'd rather have him spend time with his wife and kids instead of giving us reasons to argue amongst ourselves.

Edit: New blog's up.

Heh. I meant that the recommendation combined with the LP were treasured. My favorite Genesis album is exactly like your choice: a tie between Selling England and Trick.

My favorite Rush album is Snakes & Arrows, but not for musical reasons. It released 20 days before my first wife died. "Far Cry" became a daily battle cry to make it through the ensuing days. Vapor Trails, as Tman noted around that time, was another musical crutch for me to lean on because of Neil Peart's losses that shine through on that recording. Prior to that, Presto was my favorite as it released my senior year of high school just as I was getting introduced to them by all my drummer friends in the high school band.

My only regret is not knowing you were hammarby when you played for my old team. That would have made that ridiculous night more memorable.

Of course, we probably would have gotten tossed along with our fans that were ejected. All two of them.
