I just gotta say, I think relating games this season to playoffs games has gone too far. First, everybody says in the short season every game will be like a playoffs game. Now, Briere is saying the rest of the games will be playoffs games for us. Are they going to be double-playoffs games? I can't wait to see the actual playoffs, they're going to be so legendary players will probably be turning into dragons and shooting lasers out of their nipples and whatnot.

Giroux's ineffectiveness, or not being at a superstar level, is the biggest concern I have going forward. The other issues can be fixed, by a coaching change, trades or buyouts or other moves. If Giroux can't get back to his level of play from last season, then the Flyers will have to make massive adjustments

Nipple-Laser-friendly jerseys would be an enormous boon for the NHL. The hockey related revenue would shoot up so fast, Bettman would probably premature lockout everything.
