This Torts act is getting a little old - he might be a good coach with a Cup on his resume but the dude lacks class. He is disrespectful to the media and to this sport. The other thing was his comments on the Sabres - maybe he should focus on his team.

Can someone tell me why those Flyers' hit from behind weren't even looked at?

Sabres Power Play is a joke - day off??? I think practice is what they need.

- Peca27

I think most in the NY media are used to him, probably don't take offense to it, and most realize that it's generally for show.

(This from an unabashed Tortorella fan)

He's been much more consistant and he can move. He's not a running QB, BUT if he needs to scrable for 5 years he can. Barkley's slower than Bledsoe.

And how have the last 3 CA QB's turned out?

- Chipd

Is that true? My god I didnt think it was possible.

P.S- I liked Bledsoe (its the last time i remember being happy, 2003 Blizard game against Miami, ricky willaims break single game rushing record but E Moulds and Bledsoe answered back with 80 bomb every time Ricky Broke and 80 yard run)

Two thoughts.

The Rangers are a soft team and the Sabres clearly know how to take care of business. If you bang the Rangers they will come off their game all the time. Rangers are essentially now a one line team. Shut down the first line, bang the supporting caste and the Blueshirts will wilt by the third period.

Bigger issue. Last year the Sabres were headed for a lottery pick. They went on an end of season run and just missed the playoffs blowing their chances at a top pick. If the Sabres keep winning consideration needs to be given to firing Ralston. This is no time for screw ups. It is important to stay calm, be patient and try and remember that if you mess up on the small stuff there is a good chance that one day at a time you can lose your fair share of games.

Paragraph one. We've played them 3 times and I've said the same each time. I really thought they were going to be world beaters on a clear path to the cup, but they just don't have the chip on the shoulder.

Paragraph 2, I know whay you are saying about losing, but these guys, coach included are playing for their careers. That and winning is just more fun. I enjoyed last nights game. Toronto is good this year. They didn't get good by sucking. They got good by making sensible choices about players.

Jerry sullivan - "I’ll miss Fitzpatrick, off the field, anyway. He was a good guy who never uttered a harsh word about a teammate"

This was the problem if you ask me. Kelly and Tallie used to tear guys a new one if they under performed. They held each other accountable. Sabres and Bills need that in bunches

- 11BUFFALO11

Who yelled at Kelly and Tallie when they underperformed....or choked away an important game?

....Lawson will be a non-factor

As much as I dislike Garth, he did put it out there about a week before the actual trade

I know some of you get pretty mad when I say this but Id rather them keep winning. I know this team sucks and I would love the #1 pick but I cant sit there and wish they lose. The curse of being born a Buffalo fan

Kelly and Fitzpatrick have almost identical (year to year) passing stats. The difference was Kelly had a great Defense and a HOF running back. Fitz never did.

There's something specific in the new CBA about guaranteed days off --"all clubs need to schedule no less than four days off (two at home and two on the road) for players during each full calendar month"

No you bring up a totally valid point. I went to the game last night and had a great time, and that's because they won! It always sucks to have to hope for your team to lose because in reality nobody ever wants that.

We actually play a real hockey game last night and all I hear today from various sources is how we are blowing the team up...so hard to be a Sabres fan these days....

Yep... One or two good games out of 10 makes me feel like this team is on the path to greatness.
