Spent all morning holding my baby daughter. Need to get that time in before I head back to Philly area for the rest of the season. - bmeltzer
No question, gotta get that time in when you can Bill. Congratulations again.
Wondering if you have any thoughts on the Briere move to the third line? Seems like with that move we no longer have a "shutdown" line to match against the other team's top unit (no line with Briere on it can be considered a shutdown line - or even competent defensively).
Do you expect them to try to use Giroux's line in that role, or are we just going to give up on matching lines and let the chips fall where they may? What do you see happening? |

This is the season, right here.
They lose these two games, they're dead. If they win both there's some hope.
They can't afford to lose more than 4 or 5 more games in regulation over the rest of the season. They drop these two, besides continuing the futility vs New Jersey, they piss away 4 vital points. - Jsaquella
For once, what Bryz said yesterday has not been taken out of context and he was spot on, as you are in this assessment of the importance of these two games! |

i think the days off help for sure, recharge the batteries a little bit, first 10 min are gonna be big tn - Flyers4Life88
Agreed. They get behind the Devil early, it could be ugly. Fortunately, Hedberg's been really bad lately. The Flyers will need to be disciplined tonight. Have to avoid breakdowns and mistakes, and of course do it for 60 minutes. |

Ugh...better not be! I'd rather have Campbell, but that cap hit is painful! |

Actually I don't know how much you guys have seen JBO this year but he's been very good. Remember he's playing on a god aweful team as well. |

This is a huge two game series. Close to playoff intensity. Have a feeling that one team is going to sweep both games. If it happens it will be the key moment of the year for both teams. The team that wins makes the playoffs. The team that loses starts dreaming about the lottery.
I think the Flyers find their game, get good goaltending and take all 4 points. |

Ironically, that seems to be when JBo does his best work.
On bad teams.

Zero excuse not to come away with two points tonight. Look at that Devils lineup. Two guys Lamoriello picked up for a bag of pucks on the first line. Stiffs like Barch, and Kostopolous who was just picked up off the waiver wire.
Hedberg has been a joke since Broduer has gone down. Having seasons come to an end at the hands of NJ is really getting old. Better not happen again tonight.

Long time J.Bo fan here. He is going to make a big difference to a team before this season is over.

on the flip side, grossmans weak wristers get through and good things come from it which im totallly fine with, rather see a weak wrister with a juicy rebound then a shot high and wide which leads to opportunity the other way |

I'd take any of the three but see no realistic way to make a trade for them work.
You would have to take salary back in exchange and most of those guys on the Flyers have no trade or no move clauses. |

nick cousins is second in the OHL in pts. despite his serious off ice antics, do you think he is a bargaining chip, or potentially make the big team next year? |

I think his value is hurt until the charges are handled. |
