I'm not defending him at all. I'm pointing out he's played in the NHL for quite awhile, and obviously wouldn't have if he was that awful.

It's not just Gervais with the bad pinches. That's what you seem to ignore. It's everyone. Is everyone on this team stupid? Did they all forget how to play? Or does Laviolette system ask them to be taking risks that they shouldn't be?

It will not work with this poop show screw. They do need a change. They are taking risks they shouldnt be. They cant handle this kind of play. Far too much stupidity, lack of attention to detail, panic, and the players needed to play it well.

Grow him and the team together. Keep a few vets, maybe, but sell sell sell.

I am wrong about a lot of things. Going into this season I felt Voracek wouldn't be at the level that he's playing at now. I felt Briere should play out his contract. I was wrong about both of these.

On the other hand, I never though we had a prayer going into this season. I'm currently crossing my fingers for Seth Jones in the draft. With this said, I do not want to buy out Bryzgalov or fire Laviolette. Players like Rusty, Bruno, Knuble, Boucher and Leighton have my permission to move on.

Bryz is the only guy not giving up and he is our best player most nights...

I dont post much on here - basically read the posts by you all and I am not coming on here to jump on the dogpile but what you are seeing here did not just happen this year - this began when the Flyers were swept by the Bruins after the Cup run ... it's been degrading slowly and now you are seeing the end result.

Just my 2 cents ...

Probably a 2 game suspension. I want him to answer for it tonight. If it happened to another player Rinaldo would have their back.

Zero. No answer.

They are unable to transition, or get the puck through the neutral zone. When they do dmp it in, they either lose the race or the battle.

In the case of the Devils, they dump it just in the right place for Hedberg or Brodeur to play it.

Its time for Lava to go. We will see how they do with more of the play in their end, and more consistent defensive pressure on the D, goaltending and forwards.

It just frustrates the poop out of me that he can't adjust his system for the players he has, the situations they're in, and the way teams are capitalizing on their weaknesses. Is it a matter of pride? Is it that Lavi can't coach other ways? I don't know, but he's trying the same thing over and over, and either expects different results or likes getting whipped silly by the Devils and Rangers. Either way, it's insanity defined.

This isn't to excuse anybody else for their hand in this. But at this point, the fact that Lavi's system has worked in the past doesn't count for poop.
