how do you explain the first 5 minutes of the game and trailing 1-0? They were flat, and unprepared, and found themselves behind very quickly. There was no jump at the start. it was embarrassing for such an important game to start that way. - hammarby31
Finding yourself behind doesn't mean that you didn't come out with effort. It's not black and white. Where playing poorly means lack of effort. They made the same mistakes they've been making all Season. They had plenty of jump energy wise to start the game. That was not the issue. And was not why they were down 1-0. couturier turned a puck over at the blue line. And then Meszaros made another turnover below the goal line, and lost his check which was Elias. |

Quick question WAYYYY off the baord, but... Why isn't their an Android Hockey Buzz app?!!!
Someone(s) should really come up with one. The iPhone has one, so should us Androis users. Sorry, that's all lol. Back to Flyers-talk... - Flyers_V88
Better question would be why doesn't HB allow access with an app like Tapatalk.

- yinzer_nation

Yeah, I used to be an iPhone guy, but switched to the HTC One X+, and obviously it's an Android OS. When I had my iPhone, I used the HB app all the time. It wasn't the greatest, but it had all EK's blogs, the respective blogger's blogs, and all their twitter feeds connected. You could access each type of content by simply selecting that tab at the bottom of the app and it would bring you to that content's page. It was handy and convenient. - Flyers_V88
The site is pretty middling in terms of mobile friendliness (neither outstanding nor unusable), I figure an app might be a step up. I just thought it was funny that you posted it right after the thought popped in my head |

You would think not. Regarding Gustafsson and Couturier, I don't think it's a bad thing for young players to experience growing pains. It's how they mature as players. Situations will very rarely be ideal to transition a young kid into a lineup.
I just think it makes sense to have Gustafsson play NHL games now. The season is likely a washout so mistakes he makes won't be crippling as far as costing the team valuable points. Don't the Flyers want to see what they have in this kid? Playing journeymen type players like Gervais on bad teams really doesn't serve much purpose. - PLindbergh31
It's not a bad thing for players to experience growing pains. But each player is different. They obviously felt that Gustafsson was better off in the AHL.

Damnit, we get one troll who learns and develops into a good, thoughtful and funny troll and as soon as it happens we get another uncreative, unfunny and grammatically-or spelling-challenged one who had his testes drop and decided to visit the Flyers thread.
Aren't we lucky? |

That's fine. If that's the case Couturier should be in the AHL now, because his head has been up his ass all year. - PLindbergh31
If the Flyers rid their roster of everyone you don't like, you would complain that there's nothing to complain about. |

I brought this up the other day when the Bob remorse was hitting the fan. Bottom line is
Blame Boosh for sucking and having to get pulled - KINGKENZO
I blame Laviolette for riding the kid all year and then turning on him like a soap villain or WWE heel in the playoffs |

And I question the move. All the examples I cited being the reason. Not to mention the most important reason. He's a better player than Gervais. |

Hopefully the next troll draft is a deep one, we're lacking for real pro talent here. |

In general I agree with you, however Gus really isn't a kid anymore. He will turn 25 next season and I believe he is in his 3rd or 4th year of pro hockey. Also if they want to resign him, he will not be waiver exempt next season, so the time is now to see if he can play consistently at the NHL level. - BiggE
Defensemen develop more slowly than or wards, thus a 25-year old Dman is roughly akin to a 20-year old forward. |

That's debatable. Neither has looked good at all. I've seen Gus looking lost and blowing coverages, too |

You can make a very good case for that. I don't know sometimes what the rhyme or reason for how the Flyers handle young players. As an example they kept Sbisa on the roster as a healthy scratch for a considerable amount of games. I forget if he was eligible for the AHL at that time. But I'm not against sending a young player down to the AHL to get his feet under him if that is what is felt is best for the player. We all want the Flyers to show patience with young players. Isn't that what they're doing with Gustafsson?

Ahahah, yeah pretty funny. Yeah I was literally just looking around and looked down on my phone on my desk and was like man, why don't they have an app like they do for the iOS!? And then I figured I may as well ask and post in here to see if there maybe is one? |

Yeah, there still should be one. I had it on my older iPhone 3GS version. It's a pretty generic and basic app, but it collects everything nice and conveniently. |

Isn't odd how consistently these guys get the "flu", and how consistently it only lasts a day or 2 as opposed to a week or more for the rest of us? |

Well, they are no good because we didn't pick them in round one.
I only want first round defensemen, like Shea Weber, Duncan Keith, Alexander Edler, Nicklas Lidstrom and PK Subban. |
