Adam Hall on waivers eh? Always thought he'd be a good fit as that low cost, 4th line center that can win faceoffs. Only problem is, with the way this season is looking, no real reason to claim him unless it's with the intention of grabbing him now to possibly make it easier to sign him over the summer.
Edit: Leight as always - five4fighting10
maybe we cna wait for a team to waive someone like grabner oh boy |

maaaannn, whats gonna happen if we do lose tonight? after homer freaked out on everyone yesterday and most guys bagged the optional skate today - mydoglicks
If you've ever seen Paul Holmgren in person, he's still an intimidating dude.
I don't think his little speech is gonna have any impact whatsoever, but I'm willing to bet he was pretty salty. |

Flyers should put in a claim. At the very least he could help them in the faceoff department.

Yep, worst case scenario is he leaves as a UFA in July. |

Flyers are low enough in the standings that they could get Hall.
Isn't that how these things work, lowest teams get first shot at waived players? |

Something like that, plus any recent claims put your team at the end of the line. |

couldn't hurt having a 55%+ guy around @ 650k. still plays physical...decent role plyr that would address a need. |

Rinaldo's really been out to prove something this season, and I think he's done well so far. |

To be fair, there has been a lot of criticism of Laviolette, and I've done my share. But this is one player that Laviolette deserves a lot of credit for. He's made him into a legitimate NHL player. Rinaldo of course deserves a bunch of the credit also.

Prove that he is a bonafide NHL player.
With his open ice hitting ability and now that he draws more penalties then he takes, I think he has done it.
It's a narrow line though.
Go back to taking more penalties then you draw and look out. |

The Flyers had three of them in a short period of time.
Best forward not in the NHL: Jiri Dopita
Best d-man not in the NHL: Michal Sykora
Best goalie not in the NHL: Roman Cechmanek
EDIT: 2/3's late. - Flyskippy
If I recall correctly, Dopita was considered the best player outside the NHL, so the Flyers brought in Cechmanek as an incentive for Dopita to sign. Mrs. Cechmanek and Mrs. Dopita were best friends.
At least that's how I remember it... |

Well, the added Cechmanek to shore up the goaltending, and added Dopita the next year because their wives were friends. |

Not only that but the kid is one of the few players, Simmonds also comes to mind, that has been consistent the entire year / entire game. both those players hit the ice and hit it hard every shift...Seems like the Refs have also noticed the change in Zac's play...they aren't calling double Penalties anymore when he draws one...
Think I am like the most on this blog, that after the last NJ game, I've given up on this team...we are too deep in a hole to dig out. And for what purpose, to get booted 1st round of the playoffs. I'd rather just toss this year away, regroup over the summer, see what sort of pick-ups Homer can do and go at it next year...

My issues with Laviolette are not entirely related to this season.
Funny, you complain about goalies and defensemen not getting developed, but the Flyers had Bobrovsky. Laviolette buried him after one bad period in the playoffs, which led to Bryzgalov coming in. |

Well, they are no good because we didn't pick them in round one.
I only want first round defensemen, like Shea Weber, Duncan Keith, Alexander Edler, Nicklas Lidstrom and PK Subban. - Jsaquella
Weber was a 2nd rounder. |
