-Bryz played the best game of his flyer career given the circumstances. He's the one who laid down the gauntlet and he's the primary reason the Flyers won tonite. He answered his own challenge.

- Luke Schenn was very good, with several crisp outlet passes, calm under fire and physical play.

- the team still has some serious issues w/ details and puck mgmt. sum of the desperation plays by jake, simmer and b schenn in particular wreaked of stupid.

- it did look like they clogged the neutral zone more and they have enuf skill to make teams pay as the pounce in transition. they have to play that way for the duration or they are cooked.

- Gagne is good enuf to play 3rd line and be put out in crucial situations...esp when lavi wises up and starts sitting guys that deserve it.

- NJ is the better team. their passing, systems play and puck support are far superior. they pushed us to the brink w/o marty and another guy i can't think of.

For people that want harsher discipline for those types of hits, something small is probably warranted... at the very least a fine or something. I'm certainly in favor of harsher discipline, whether it's guys on the Flyers or elsewhere

Also, I dont think Perry is worth it. We already have more than 6 top 6 forwards. No need to go and pay a guy 9 million a year. We're not that desperate for offense.

You would have to sign Perry first too. You cant just trade someone away and assume Perry is yours. Not sure we'll have the cap room to pull that off, even with a Briere buyout. Again, I stay away from Perry tho. Not the biggest need.
