#Isles also keeping an eye on NCAA hockey postseason -- hope to sign Anders Lee of ND and Scott Mayfield of Denver when their seasons end.

Also will be talking extension with Brad Boyes. Would indicate there's no plans to deal any of the 4 pending UFAs at 4/3 trade deadline.

Are you (frank)ing kidding me? . Gonna re-sign that bum, but let parenteau go. Boyes sucks. Get someone on that line that isn't a burden to tavares and moulson for christ sake.

I'm not a big fan of Boyes but 24pts in 28games for $1million hasn't been a terrible investment. He's on pace to have an identical season statisticaly to PA last year. I have no problem resigning him for a year or two as he could be a fair second line option with Strome. .

Isles have momentum for 2 periods aaaaaand it's gone! .This is why you can never be positive about this team. Up 3-0 after 2 periods had a gut feeling if they give up 1 the panthers would come right back, and they did.

Love what i see from Cizikas and Mcdonald. So now the Isles leapfrog the rags. And are hot on the heels of the Jets for 8th.

Keep working boys.

24 points on that line is great, 24 points when someone else could be doing better OR Tavares could be putting up better points and even more important less goals going the other way? I can care less about his 1 million dollar salary. I can't wait to see his contract, knowing how much of a moron Snow is it is going to cause a stir on here and you guys will say it's Wang's fault

Damn Jets won. Toronto blows. 3 points back still.

My bad. The jets jump up to 3rd and we're only 2 back of carolina.

The Jets are way better than Carolina. They should win that sh*t division easily.

I definitely want an upgrade in that position for our first line but as I see more PA comments regarding Boyes' possible extension it remains worthy of mention that there has been virtually no decline in stats from that roster spot. That alone means the acquisition of Boyes has been effective.

I'd love to see the jets make the playoffs. Just to see that arena in winnipeg go absolutely nuts would be something special to see.

Point.

I don't hate Boyes, and I'm fine with him being resigned... I just don't see JT's line as the dominate line it was last year with PAP. Boyes seems to get points in spite of his play.

Plus I also love pointing out to those that said PAP would never put up the numbers he put up here anywhere else without JT..... really?

He scored another goal yesterday! # 12 or 13. No time to look it up. Gotta go.

Point per game for PAP!

This is that romatic rearview mirror I keep referring to for PA. When the guy was here, a majority of folks here griped night in and night out about the need to upgrade that position on the first line. Since he's left, according to memory he is twice the player he was when he was here. Tavares is on a better pace statistically this year than he was last year. Moulson is on pace for 84 pts (he had 69 last year). Boyes is on pace for nearly identical numbers to PA, so the assertion that this line isn't as good without PA is clearly wrong. PA and Boyes are very different players. Boyes is a finisher, PA a playmaker. Ultimately I'd prefer to have a playmaker and finisher so I think the point is, the first line right wing ultimately has to be better than both of them. That said, I still don't see PA consistently putting up numbers like he has. It's a 4 year deal so we'll wait and see.

Its not thou, they are putting up points, yes... but they are not the line they were last year. They do not dominate shifts like they did last year with PAP, last year there were more no look passes that connected, the 3 of them just knew where each other were. As the season went on they got better & better. ALOT of this years points have come on very broken plays. It made no sense fixing something that wasnt broken.. and if he wasnt signed by the deadline.. he should have been moved.. period.

We let a first line talent, a point per game player go for NOTHING. That is still very hard to swallow.

as for the highlighted... We shall see!
