Holzer was roughing up E. Kane, Bogo jumped in and beat the friggin snot out of Holzer. Got an instigator.

He's been incredible of late.

Good thing Laviolette gave him a whole period to prove himself in the playoffs and decided to play him behind Leighton. That's a great coach that deserves to keep his job no matter what.

he struggled in came bob, that didn't help his confidence any I guess, it's not like he has to worry about the other 2 guys, when he struggled a little this year.

Wasn't that the excuse everyone gave for Bryz's play last year? That he wasn't given enough starts because of the backup? Holmgren took care of that excuse in a very decisive way.

As people have mentioned previously, Holmgren was in a bad position because of how Bob was handled the previous year. Can't send him down and playing him caused issues with Bryz's play.

All hell will break loose if Bob finishes the regular season as a Vezina caliber tender this year. Bryz may yet live up to his contract but Bob has exceeeded Bryz's contract at a fraction of the cost and has a much longer career ahead of him than Bryz.

I am 1/4 Irish with an Irish surname. I consider the parades of people in green getting drunk off their asses as a tribute to St. Patrick to be the Irish form of blackface.

Bobrovsky was traded by Holmgren because he couldn't afford there to be a goaltender controversy after overpaying Bryzgalov. Had to protect the investment by signing absolute stiffs to back up Bryzgalov so there would be no legit alternative.

If Bryzgalov is bought out, and the Flyers are once again searching for a goaltender while Bobrovsky excels in C-Bus, it's going to look real dumb.

I disagree with Laviolette benching Bobrovsky in the playoffs after a rough start. That being said, it doesn't necessitate a trade just because a high price goalie was brought in. Nothing wrong with having two guys in case of injury or if one falters. Salaries and cap hits be damned.
