That's because their defense and goaltending is sub par. Regardless, the Oilers will be very good very soon. Just far too much young talent on that team and they're getting better every year. Once they add whoever they're drafting this year to their core they will pretty much be set. They've also got Klefbom in their system too so that should help with the D.

Edit: They also haven't had the same luck that teams like the pens and blackhawks have add. None of the guys that went first overall to them are in the same class as Toews, Kane, Crosby, Malkin (I know he went second just making a point). Sometimes it takes a little bit of luck as well. Plus their GM is almost as dumb as ours so that doesn't help

Ott plays on the PP and buffalo is what, last in the league? no one should be surprised. He hasnt made this team any tougher to play against which is the reason why they acquried him in the first place.

He will- Can't believe he was traded for a 5th round pick. Absolute joke. A young guy they spent the last 4 years developing. Lead Rochester in Scoring during the lockout and was never given a rfeal oppertunity. I guess he didn't "earn" it. Just like Grigo didn't "earn" any PP time. The joke will be on the GM when he is fired. I hope Rolo gets canned too......He is not impressing me with his short shortsightedness.

Unlike Folignio Kaleta gives you an honest shift game in game out and thats something all players should learn.

4. We all stop caring about TJ Brennan.

5. Have the NHL review all points scored by Brad Boyes as his 2013-2013 total has just passed his entire 2011-2012 total. Something fishy here.

6. Move the big three, play franking kids, and at least lose like men.

7. Father a child with a porn star and regardless of gender, name the child Ville.

8. Drink more good beer.

Ott and Kaleta are the kinds of players you want your players to copy imo.Granted not go over board but play hard and tough.All I ask of a player as a fan is score defend or hit something.If you cant do any of them you dont belong on my team.

one of the scouting websites pointed out Brennen at every level struggled his first season then excelled in his 2nd, but Darcy is smarter than everyone involved at every level of hockey combined

the sabres are going to regret that trade for a long time

and if ken sawyer actually believes that Darcy is a "hockey genius" he probably also believes santa claus and the easter bunny are real too

when will pegula pull his head out of the sand and surround himself with people with hockey knowledge and not corporate a$$ kissing yes men

Darcy should have been fired 5-6 years ago for breaking up a potential multi Stanley cup winning team!
