We just aren't good. What we are lacking is leadership. There is no real leader.

Vaneks a pure goal scorer thats it.If hes not scoring hes totally worthless.I want guys who can play in both zones.Id rather have 3 or 4 20-25 goal scorers then one lazy 30 -40 goal scorer.

Glad Hamilton is calling the Front Office out on their BS. At least there is someone over at 550 I can agree with.

Bad goal by Miller no argument there, but at the same time, it was a 2 on 2, and our defensemen just backed into our zone. Why not step up on the guy at the boards, force him to dump it in?

Instead we backed off and gave them the zone and space to make that play.

Yea I agree with that too. Miller just finally looked like the team in front of him and had that duh moment or slow reaction to what was going on.

I want prospects... Brown would change the leadership and flow of this team but i dont think we can afford to trade another high point scorer for toughness and non score sheet stats.... We did that with ott and roy... Amd with stafford disappearing this season it shows how pathetic our depth scoring is

Vanek is by no means a pure goal scorer. That title belongs to players like Stamkos, Kovalchuk, the old Heatley and Ovechkin, Perry, Ryan.

Vanek is a Dave Andrechuk type of goal scorer. Scores a lot of greasy goals. Doesnt score at will. We've seen Vanek miss a handful of wide open nets the last few games that a pure goal scorer wouldve buried.

It was a good fight, but I can't believe how dirty Neil is, holding people down and taking a cheap shot while the Ref's are holding down Regher, 3rd period he will just skate around and do what he wants because no one on the Sabres roster can do anything about it, he would smack the snot out of Myers even with Myers reach.

Vanek is the most inconsistent player the Sabres have going. He scored 19 of his points in the first 10 games. Hasnt looked like half that player since.

You can lose a lot of motivation when the players around you really suck. And I'm sorry but there are far more inconsistent players than Vanek...like almost everyone else in the lineup. Whole team is brutal not just Vanek
