Trade anyone on this team that is over 25 years old and can bring in a 2nd round pick or better, or a top 5 organizational prospect.
Spend the offseason packaging picks and prospects to get a Legit #1 Center. Give up anyone and anything. Make a run at Malkin. If you cant get him go after Thornton. 3rd option that may be available is Vinny Lecavier, not my 1st pick, but he can be a legit #1 center.
Sign Ryan Clowe and David Clarkson this Summer.
Go out and get 2 new Defendors that are responsible in their own end.

I think you have had a few too many drinks tonight!
The wings went 42 years without a cup. Suffering a stretch of missing the playoffs 16 out of 20 seasons. Replace any Original 6 team with another franchise, and they wouldve had a cup during the Original 6 era as they all did.

Like I said, effort is great. It doesn't mean running around like a braindead jackass is okay. Kaleta has every right to be pissed about his benching. In fact, I hope he would be. However, taking it to the media is wrong (and I didn't even think there were as many fireworks in Kaleta's interview as he made it sound).
Miller basically said "if that's what he said, he needs to get over it". Nothing wrong with that statement. People are grasping at drama that isn't there. - buffalofan19
Miller precisely said: @BNHarrington
#Sabres Edge -- Miller postgame audio on Kaleta: 'He just needs to grow up' http://bit.ly/YlbCKL
That is something you say in private to his face, not to the media. You don't embarrass a teammate in public based on what he says and his desire to play. You might say, regarding a teammate, that he needs to play better, but you don't say he needs to grow up.

I still say Miller should STFU. If you have something to say to a teamate you do it face to face. Not through the Media.

This situation is getting way out of control whether Miller made the comment or he didn't. Darcy is not the right person to turn this team around, Pegula needs to put a stop to this

Lets stop with the wanting to hire only former Sabres as GM or coach. There's much more talent in the world then the ones who have ties to the Sabres.

They need someone that doesn't have the word "Buffalo" anywhere on its resume.
When Miller is chirping to the Buffalo News about Kaleta growing up it really chaps my ass. First of all I know Miller didnt call him a baby, but he did tell Kaleta to get over it and he said that he needs to grow up.
Miller needs to say that to KAleta's face, not to the Buffalo news. Miller also needs to recognize that Kaleta is a passionat teamate that want to be out their with the team and help them win. Him female dogging it when he is not playing is what more of these guys need to do.
I'd rather have a guy on my team that is willing to complain about getting benched, then a bunch of guys who sit on their thumbs and aact like they don't give a crap.
Miller pulled him self of out the game against the Rangers cause he didn't get a good nights sleep. Just saying, and that come right from Paul Hamilton on WGR.

"Buffalo" is synonymous with "not winning". - buffalofan19
Just because Dudley was here before doesnt mean that he is not a top candidate for a GM job. Just saying you can't exclude someone just cause they have Buffalo ties.

Are you kidding? Pegula is not in control of this. He's sitting in his room drunk, crying and rocking back and fourth about this as we speak. He thought spending like an idiot was the only strategy.

Well the buyout of Leino will help Darcy but he has no clue how to spend money the correct way. Giving Myers that deal was a horrible mistake as well.

There's too much loyalty here. It's too much of a "good old boys club". Dudley obviously is more than capable, but I think the interior ties will cloud just about anybody's vision, unless there were no loyalties to begin with. This organization needs a purging.

Who would you take as a GM. Dudley has a pretty good track record. He still lives in the area. I think he is an ideal candidate. I am sure there are other guys out there who would do a good job.
It is more about getting rid of Darcy then hiring dudley for me, I guess you could be right.

That sounds good to me. Lets hire Brendan Shanahan, or maybe Kris Draper???
