Maybe Setogucci for Staffford and Flynn

I really hope we make some serious trades. I'm not totally sold on trading Miller. The fact that he's female doging doesn't bother me at all to be honest, at least he cares, and he's right about Kaleta. Maybe not the best way to handle it, but Kaleta shouldn't be female doging to the media about personnel decisions, THATS why he was annoyed with Kaleta.

Trade Pominville to a contender for a top-6 forward and a 2nd/3rd rounder.

Trade Regehr for a first round pick.

Trade Leopold for whatever you can get, maybe a 3rd round pick if your lucky

Trade Stafford, might be able to get something meaningful from a contender.


Make Hodgson the Captain and sign him to a long-term deal.

Draft Drouin, McKinnon, or Barkov

Throw tons of money at big name coaches and GMs

Resign Vanek and Miller


Build around Hodgson, Ennis, Myers, Ehrhoff, Vanek, and Miller.

Someone will take Stafford. I put my money on the Wild.

Me too, but there will be options. GM's who see that he has a 30 goal year and couple 20+ years and he is only 27 will take a shot.

I would not do that Setogucci is a 3rd line player if that.

Miller has every right to be mad with his team. People always complain about how no one is holding people accountable for their bad play but whenever miller holds people accountable people jump all over him. Yeah he played a bad game today but so did the whole team. Miller knows what it takes to win but no one on this team cares to do anything about it.

Miller wasn't holding Kaleta accountable for his play but for an interview he did where he stated he was pissed he wasn't going to play. The Sabres need more players who want to play. Not paycheck collectors like Stafford, Hecht, Pominville from the perimeter, etc

I think both Stafford and Setogucci need changes to improve. I don't know if we really want Setogucci though, he really hasn't been the same player since he left the sharks. Hes like a softer version of Stafford, might have a little better scoring touch but only if hes playing with good people.

I am on board but I have some issues with the trades.

If someone is adding Pommer they will not give a top 6 unless it is during the summer. I dont think anyone would give us a 1st round pick for Rehger, but I said that last year about the Goose.

Softer? No way, he hits people. He is not Steve Ott, but he is way more physical then Drew Stafford. He is probably a little smaller, but he would be one of the better hitters on the Sabres.

That should be our #1 priority as Sabres fans, IMO!!!

Settogucci. I don't like Rupp. He is a tough guy, but he is a terrible skater. He is best suited as a 4th line player.

Don't really think it's a good idea for Darcy to be in charge of trading away 3 important players such as Miller, Vanek and Pominville. I would be very nervous of the return example...Brian Campbell.

Neither is Stafford. Look at their hits, I bet Sttogucci averages over 100 hits per year. Staff is probably 20....lol

I think we will get a first for Regehr. 2 first rounders in this draft would be great. Probably right about Pominville, but that would be fine with me to wait till the Summer, we need to get real assets back for him.
