I was on Miller's side for quite some time, but I think this officially signals the need for him to be traded. Kaleta is one of the few guys on that team that gives an honest effort each game, and for Miller to be calling him out for wanting to play is just absurd.
What teams are looking for a better goalie? Lightning? Islanders? Flyers? Maple Leafs? Ducks? Oilers? - GoinFiveHole
This team would be where throughout the years without Miller saving there a$$es? Kaleta has played well this year i'll give him that and i'm not a Kaleta supporter very much but, he's a limited player and Miller means more to this team then Kaleta will ever be. |

Where are we with him is what you should be saying. - buffalo 1
Blame Darcy for that, he has no clue how to build a team. Small players, no grit, no toughness. |

So did the Sabres brass instruct WGR to shut it down for today so no one can criticize this team? - J03Y
They've been hammering this team and their management for weeks. What more do you want them to say? I'm tired of hammering them as well but at least I can go do other things. I can't imagine having to talk about them day in and day out.
The Miller hate baffles me. Can you imagine standing back there night in and night out watching this train wreck from the first row? We have no idea what goes on behind closed doors. People seem to want it both days - we get mad that nobody seems to show any passion and then we get mad when they do. At least he stands there night after night and takes questions. I can't believe he doesn't let off some steam more often. |

Miller going out of his way to embarrass a teammate to the media isn't the way to handle it. It really isn't a surprise that teammates tend to not stick up for him.
I'm generally a Miller supporter. I think he is better than a lot of people on here but he really needs to shut the (frank) up. The team is playing bad, Miller included. His piss poor attitude doesn't help. It's funny that he is saying that Kaleta made a stupid play. Isn't Miller the coward who tried to swing his stick at Lucic's head? - ZamboniMassacre
This and now im done with it. |

Brennan wasnt anything special and Miller needs to shut up till hes Hasik like in goal which will never happen by the way - buffalo 1
With all due respect, Hasek did NOTHING here. I can care less about all his records but we have no cups with him and if Darcy doesn't get it together it will be the same results with Miller. Shame all these good players waste away here because of a GM that hasn't a clue. |

He didn't go out of his way to "embarrass his teammate". He essentially said, if (key word if) that's what he did, he needs to grow up. I usually don't care for Miller's antics, but this doesn't bother me. He said nothing incorrect. Kaleta made a dumb play and was punished for it. He needs to accept it and move on. I agree with him. If Harrington hadn't previewed the interview with something that he didn't even say (saying he called Kaleta a "baby" when he really didn't), this wouldn't even be an issue. - buffalofan19
That's your opinion, I disagree. Miller should take his own advice. He said Kaleta should handle things behind close doors. So should Miller.
Miller's piss poor attitude has grown old. He's a big mouthed crybaby and he is a big wussy. He needs to leave. No player on this team ever says anything about Miller but he runs his mouth on anybody he feels like. I would expect this to cause some division in the locker room. |

Theoretical question: Would you take back Kassian for Ott? I'm on the fence. Some nights Ott and Kaleta are the only ones that look like they care. That said, the upside of Kassian might still be too much to pass up. |

I don't care about the past...we can't go back and replay games from years ago.
Miller is not showing any capability of making this team play better. His various tirades are not causing this team to give a better effort.
Would this team be worse off without him...immediately, yes.
But he will be gone in another year or two anyways, so get what you can right now. |

Hard to make the team better when your GM can't even do it. |

I love it how no one realizes that Kaleta was benched as further punishment because Rolston wants to make it known that he doens't like Goon hockey and that he doesn't allow his players to take cheap shots... That 5 minute major costed us that game.. it gave them two PP goals to tie it up and took all of our momentum.
I love Kaleta... and I was mad too.. but there is a reason for it.... and if I was Kaleta I would be pissed too because the hit was very borderline cheap.. and he already served a 5 game suspension...
Gotta be held accountable. |

Agree to dissagree on Hasik.Hasik would always give you hope and take over game by himself.Miller doesnt offer hope and your always waiting for that one goal hes going to give up and break your heart. Also look at the standing and the past seasons.Wow hes made a big difference hasnt he ? One year without Biron backing him up maybe.Id say it was more because we could outscore everyone with guys like Briere,Drury,Vanek,Roy etc. |

Paul Hamilton seems to have pretty much the same attitude as everyone here. Darcy thinks this season is a fluke and in all honesty he's an idiot for thinking so. Last night on the post game show they were pretty much talking about blowing this team up, and replacing EVERYONE on the staff.
I still don't get why Brian constantly still says that firing Lindy was wrong. Ugh, it happened man just move on. |

I like Ott much more but I think this team should go into major rebuild mode. In that case I would be open to trading any vet for youth, picks or/and prospects.
At the same time, I'd still like to have somewhat of a vet presence to help out with the young kids. I think Ott is a real leader and has a great attitude. So, I guess I would not trade Ott for Kassian |

kassian appears to not be very good. that was a GREAT trade.
kassian will end up turning into a kaleta type player to stay in the nhl, methinks. |

Kassian the underachieving unmotivated overrated kid on skates ?I remember him in Boston before the trade and thinking heres your chance to show you want to be here.Nothing yea shortly after he was traded and should of been. One of darcies best trades and maybe the reason he was renewd early this season. |

It was in fact a great trade - I was all for it. He's a talented player with a nickel head. The allure with him is that he'll wake up one day and "get it". If he doesn't... well...
If we do go into full rebuild mode it might make sense. I'd hate to lose Ott.

It's simple
Hasek got further with less talent than Miller has with more |
