Anyone have a scouting report on Douglas Murray? All I know is that he is Swedish, big, and on the rumor chart such as it is. - MBFlyerfan
A slightly faster version of Grossmann, a nice player, but not what the Flyers really need. |

The funny thing about Lebowski is, that it's inspired by The Big Sleep. It's an admitted homage to the Chandler story and subsequent movie starring Bogart.

Everybabybody that defends their use of comic books says this.
(I read graphic novels) - Flyskippy
Reading comics is totally immature, I don't understand why any self-respecting adult would do it. It's just as bad as playing video games, serious professional sports fandom, and arguing on internet forums |

Did you ever see RKO 281? It's a movie about the war behind Citizen Kane. I only watched it because I'm a big Orson Welles fan.
Malkovich plays screenwriter Herman Mankiewitz. He's an alcoholic, kind of hanger on, who exists only as a sycophant with his friends. But he's inspired by Welles to bring his story about Hearst to the screen.
Malkovich does a brilliant job with the character. - Jsaquella
Great film, too bad so few have seen it |

I'm not a huge fan of Hainsey, and with the shallowness of the market, I could see him being more expensive than Coburn or Meszaros. The problem with Smid is, he's more of a stay at home type. They have two of those in Grossmann and Schenn - Jsaquella
With the thought that the defense market is shallow, I think we could get a really good return for Coburn and a decent return for Mesz. My point is we get solid assets for Coburn and Mesz, then sign replacements without giving anything up.
If we're looking bigger picture, let's say we do make a large deal for a #1 d-man, like a Yandle or Shattenkirk. If Coburn or Mesz are included in the package, we'd need to replace their spot in our 6. There are options in the UFA market to fill their spots. Smid is a guy I would love to sign for this purpose. |

Quite Possibly the laziest man in Los Angeles county, which would put him high in the running for laziest world wide. But sometimes, there's a man. Sometimes there's a man. Aw, I lost my train of thought here. |

Considering that it's meant in jest, there's really no reasoning behind it.
I dress up like a cable repairman in a porn flick to bowl, watch a movie I have seen 3,000 times and drink white Russians with a bunch of other maniacs. To each his own - Jsaquella

I get that, I'm thinking you'd get picks and prospects for them, though. But if they were traded in a deal for Yandle, then Yandle takes their spot in the top six. |

There were about 500 or so of us at LebowskiFest in Philly, and there wasn;t even any bowling, it was a special one night Fest at the TLA. |

Now if I could just channel my inner Dr. Evil, invent a time machine, bring back Mark Howe and Eric Desjardins and the Flyers D is now set!
But then the meds wear off and I'm still looking at Coburn and Gervais

Speaking of the Preds..Anyone see the highlights from last night's game? Kostitsyn is back checking Gagner and he's within a few feet.. he abandons the chase and worse doesn't even swing over to cover the trailing Oiler on the two on one who eventually scores.. instead...he heads to the bench!! hahah if you haven't seen it..watch it funny stuff. Holy give up. |
