Are there confirmed reports that they're actively looking to trade him? Who are the teams they've contacted, and what are they looking to get in return?
And also, yes, the less-established fan bases do get hurt by things like lockouts; look at the Panthers and their $7/ticket season tix (after they planned on a 100% across-the-board increase). - jmatchett
the 7.00 ticket worked and the fans are going to the games, shame the team is worst than the flyers |

It's much more believable if you include a 4th round draft pick.
I don't really care which side you put it on, but you really need to include the 4th round draft pick. - Atomic Wedgie
For the Flyers and Homer, it would need to be a number 2 pick.. He hates that number. |

Would you shut the (frank) up, Donny!? You have no frame of reference here, you're like a child that wanders into a movie... - JoeRussomanno
Honestly, even if the Preds were to trade Weber, I'd make sure that Philly had to pay out the nose for him. I'd be trying to trade him to the Rangers or Pens just to piss the Flyers off. |

Morgan Reilly. Who just turned 19 is joining the Toronto Marlies. I thought you had to be 20 to play in ahl? |

A lot of the defensive troubles are attributed to team defense, not just the defenseman. The forwards have to commit more in their own end. - PLindbergh31

Yeah. I heard through team sources that the only reason he convinced Ed to retire Howe's #2 was so he didn't have to watch any players wear it! |

I believe the exception is you can go once your junior team has been eliminated (which is the case with him). |

When a player's junior season ends, he can join the AHL. Derek Mathers did it last year and is doing it again this season. |

As I Leafs fan, I'm hoping the Flyers don't make the playoffs, as the Leafs are hanging on to a spot by their fingernails right now.
But if the Flyers do make it, can we please have a Pittsburgh-Philly 1st rounder?
Pretty please? - Atomic Wedgie
Pens would lose a few to avoid that, if need be. It is how they do things in the Pitts! |

Jsaq invented an awesome drinking game though! The burn of a shot for every odd man rush would propbably kill us all... - FlyersGrace
Could be worse, could be take a shot every time one of the Flyers is out of position in his own zone. Most of us wouldn't survive the first period! |

I still think the Preds should be unable to receive revenue sharing due to having a $110 mill contract on their books.
Also, if the owners do not care that they are dumping money into a bottomless pit that they will never get back, why not spend a few more bucks on forwards? They have the 3rd worst goal total in the league. |

how about everytime a forward either flubs on an open net shot or passes on said open net shot? |

It will be interesting to see what happens this summer, but if they move Weber and don't get a ton, including some names to sell, they will be hurting.
They have a pretty solid fanbase, but if they dump Weber this summer for the kind of return that Columbus got for Nash, it would have been far better to just not match in the first place. |

I dont think its bad blood...i think the predators trade him where they can get the best value...they are not going to take less just to spite the flyers...if there was a tie in the assets being offered then yes that would be a tie breaker.
When have you ever known the flyers to get beat on a player that they truly covet. |

Regardless, his comeback from that hip issue has been remarkable. I have cheered him on andit's good to see that he's had success. - Hextall271
Yeah, I always thought that he got thrown under the bus in Ottawa. Of course, there were...ahem...off-ice issues that played a big part in that.
I had wanted the Leafs to sign him in recent years as a backup - who doesn't want a goalie who is the toughest guy on the ice? But I can understand why teams would be reluctant to sign a goalie with avascular necrosis. He's one butterfly save away from shattering his hip. |

I'd like to see them add a good, solid young puck mover, but as things stand, with a full summer off and, more importantly a full training camp, they could start next season with a defense of Timonen, Schenn, Coburn, Meszaros and Grossmann. That's not an awful top 5.
I think that we could see them try to bring a guy like Ryan Whitney in here on a short term deal, for a reasonable cap hit, as a kind of Emery reclamation project. - Jsaquella
I don't necessarily disagree with you. My concern is that the 5 you mentioned have a combined cap hit of 21.6 million and I would really not want to add much more to that, as even Whitney would most likely cost 2 million plus due to the lack of D on the free agent market. I would rather try and move Mezaros in a package for a better skating, more durable guy like Bouwmeester and try to fill the 6th spot hopefully with a younger guy like Gus or Bourdon or worst case an inexpensive vet.

I think that they're absolutely pissed at the Flyers and Holmgren and considering that Weber is basically worth a ton, they'll have plenty of interested teams. I still think that the Flyers would have to top any other offers by a wide margin. |
