Monahan is a pretty nasty center too. I would think about drafting him above drouin because he is 6-2 and flies around the ice. People are down on him a bit because Ottawa was terrible this year, but he had zero supporting cast. I think if he played in the Q with FRK and MAckinnon he would be competing for 1st overall

Overall tournament? Nope. He turned it around and had a solid Semi's and Finals. But he was terrible at the start.

Drouin was solid the entire tournament. 17 years old. Got moved up to play with Nugent-Hopkins because he was easily Canada's best player in the group games.

I dont even think he is a pure goal scorer. He can score in the Q and he is potting 25 percent of his shots, that wont happen in the NHL. He does not get dirty. He is 100 percent finesse. He is small. He is winger. He is exactly what we dont want. If the Sabres took him over Mackinnon, Jones Barkov, or Monahan I would be pretty upset.

Jones is what this team needs most in my opinion. But I don't hesitate taking MacKinnon over him if he was there.

Exactly. I mean seriously, if you have played hockey, watched hockey, coached, or anything for over 2-3 years Grigo did not pass the eye test. He is only 18 and still needs developing. I have no doubt about him potentionally being great. But he clearly is not ready, and I hope the Sabres give him a full year in the A and let him develop.

I do too... but isn't the saying that....

Dmen are the hardest to find.. then centers... and wingers are the easiest..

I think Flynn and Armia will be nice compliments to our scoring depth next year.

Nugent Hopkins was Canada best player not drouin. Not sure anyone in the world thought Drouin was better in the tourni.
