What is everyone's perception of STL's D-Man Roman Polak??

he appears to be a VERY physical d-man with good size at 6'1 225 lbs.. he is cheap right and a RFA after this season like the other HALF of the STL roster will be after this season..

I think we need to add a physical D-man to our top 4 immediately...

I relaly like O'Bryne from Colorado who is a UFA after this season...

Is Jones well rounded.. more offense or more defense?

I dont even think he is a pure goal scorer. He can score in the Q and he is potting 25 percent of his shots, that wont happen in the NHL. He does not get dirty. He is 100 percent finesse. He is small. He is winger. He is exactly what we dont want. If the Sabres took him over Mackinnon, Jones Barkov, or Monahan I would be pretty upset.

I think Flynn and Armia will be nice compliments to our scoring depth next year.

I hope the Sabres stop bringing people up too soon and let Grigo and Armia play together for 1 full year in the AHL to develop and so they sign some vets that want to win now and keep grooming the future. I'm sick of watching young players stuggle.

I didnt know that mackinnon was a talented two way player who also has great speed....

I only saw jone play a handful of times, but he looks the real deal to me. I think he is heads and tails the best pro prospect in this draft.

from reading your posts I think youre putting to much stock in the tournament. Too small a sample to really gage how good somebody is.

But now we cant take into account the 5-7 games they play at the WJC because its too small a sample size to see how players from all Juniors leagues in the world compete on the same stage.

No, everyone uses the WJC to judge how well a player is. The WJC is what put Drouin on the map.

This goes both ways.... I would rather players like Flynn, Armia, Grigorenko, and Girgensons get tiime to develop but our NHL product is so poopty I want to see them on this stage already...

I think Armia will get 5-10 games in Buffalo or Rochester this season.

I don't think any scouts will compare Drouin to KAne. Kane is constantly one of the fastest players on the ice. The biggest knock on Drouin is his speed. Be real, just because they are both smallish wingers doesn't make them the same player.

people are putting way to much stock in these top 3 kids in the draft, the Oilers have had the last top 3 picks and hasn't done nothing for them. People are in love with these kids in the top 3 and either one will do nothing for us, oh wait ya they will............sit the bench or press box like Grigo has.
