people are putting way to much stock in these top 3 kids in the draft, the Oilers have had the last top 3 picks and hasn't done nothing for them. People are in love with these kids in the top 3 and either one will do nothing for us, oh wait ya they will............sit the bench or press box like Grigo has.
- SABRES 89

Or we can just resign Vanek and Miller, and Pominville and put this song on repeat. Do you honestly think the 1st overall pick would do nothing for us?

This goes both ways.... I would rather players like Flynn, Armia, Grigorenko, and Girgensons get tiime to develop but our NHL product is so poopty I want to see them on this stage already...

I think Armia will get 5-10 games in Buffalo or Rochester this season.

Yeah for this year agreed. I don't think we need to rush them because I don't think we have the supporting cast or any organizational momentem to win the cup.

The AHL is such a good league, let them dominate at that level first before you watch them look totallyout of place at times like Grigo. It's frustrating and bad message to send to the vets. I mean when you have kids playing that look lost at times (grigo), you know the organization is not planning to win a cup.

Sources saying #Sabres ready to blow up their roster and the only untouchables include Vanek, Hodgson, Sulzer, Foligno.

I think thats the same as the Ottawa Sun report....but Sulzer???

isnt he on a one year deal anyway?

Homer is this report accurate?

We don't need tough guys either. We need talent, plain and simple

Check this out-be wary of the late fast risers. They often times come crashing down in the end.

I want to trade Vanek on draft day perhaps in order to assure that we can draft both a F and a D-man...

I want this Zadorov kid... just a monster on the ice... I think we should take Mackinnon early on and then trade back into the top 10 to get him to put in our D core.

You found an article written in September, before the season started and tried using it as an argument for now?

Bottom line is MacKinnon came in ranked #1 at the beginning of the season and he will end up 3rd if not 4th at the end of the year. I would take Seth Jones over anyone.

Drouin is #12 in that!!

I know, but he scored so many pretty goals in the Q against the worst competition the CHL has to offer, with Frk and Mackinnon his linemates!!!.

Its a preseason ranking written in September.

Drouin didnt have a spectacular regular season, but in the playoffs he had 26 points in 17GP, second on his team behind MacKinnon who had 28.

No-I found an article to show how Drouin has risen in the rankings since the year started. The knock on him before this season was his speed and size. He is still slow and small.

there is no sidney crosby in this years draft
- Homer

There also isn't a Wayne Gretzky, a Keith Primeau, an Owen Nolan, a Garry Galley, as the names of the draftees are all different. There is, however, a Seth Jones. He looks much more polished than Erik Johnson was when he went #1 overall (maybe the best #1 defenseman than Jovanovski). However, if the Oilers draft #1 overall, no doubt they'll take MacKinnon. But really, Jones seems like he has all of the tools to be a to pair defenseman.
