lol true. I want Seth Jones. But I'll be happy as hell with any of them. I just think and hope maybe Seth Jones can be Myers long term asnwer. Who knows.

What is Drouin's size??

I am slighty reserved on him just because he has had only one giant year, which is this year playing with Mackinnon. But I know Mackinnon was hurt for like 15 games and he still tore it up. I just hope the Sabres don't blow it and win too many more games.

I would rank the top 3 as Jones, Barkov and Mackinnon.

That's all well and good, but you called Drouin and Mackinnon over rated. Now, you're ranking him 3rd. Odd. Sorry for the confusion...

You dont even watch or pay attention obviously.

Drouin is the best player in the draft. He was more impressive than any of the players in the WJC. He continues to dominate the Q, without MacKinnon by his side.

Its not even close.

But yeah, hes overrated.

Yes that same one. 76 percent of his production comes with Drouin on the ice. 70 percent of Drouins comes with MAkjnnon. That is risky. They are to of the best players in the Q playing on the same line. The Q is historically a weak defensive league, and 2 top players on the top line on the top team putting up high numbers is risky for me. I would take Mackjnon over drouin, as he plays 2 way hockey and has elite speed. But I would take Jones and Barkov over both of them. AN I am not saying they are bad players. I am saying that there is alot of hype around the 2 of them, and some guys in this draft are getting over looked.

Drouin was not ranked inside the top 20 this year by any major paid scouting service* (Mckeens, FC, ISS, HP) heading into this season.

So what your saying is that players don't get better at that age, during the hockey season.

You might want to think before you post. Just sayin'

Drouin is a touch undersized. SUPER skilled with the puck. I will admit that is a touch risky considering the skill / speed in the big leagues. Jones is a monster. If you told me that he could help turn Myers around, that's like getting 2 top 5 picks as well....

I wish TBN writers would actually do some reporting and speak with some former gm's (Keenan, Burke, etc.) who aren't associated with the NHL right now and ask them what they believe is wrong with the team/organization. Don't have to name their sources but at least get some outside perspective for some more interesting discussion. Tired of reading the same old garbage those guys put out.

Wrong-I do watch. Grigorenko was putting up better numbers then either of them when he failed miserably here. The Q is the weakest of the 3 junior leagues in Canada and Halifax is absolutely loaded with high end talent.

You want him to dive head first? Vanek was equally as lazy on that play. Didnt fight through the winger to get to the puck. But, nah, its all Pominvilles fault.
- theblueandgold

I want to trade Pommer for picks or prospects, so we can free up the cap space and give the C to Ott or somebody like that. I highly doubt we can sign Vanek, Miller and Pommer. So I would keep Vanek because when he is 100% he is a tough SOB being in front of that net and driving to get there. And if this team can actually get consistant and better defensively, I'm completely good with keeping Miller if he wants to stay.

So he was quick enough to get there and miss the stick check but he couldn't sell out?

I didn't say that at all. I understand players improve, but you cant judge by the numbers. This might sound crazy, but Drouin is playing with 4 1st round prospects on his team. When Grigorenko was putting up a goal a game he had 1. It's the Q, people put up numbers.

I want Mackinnon if we get the #1. But I think if Jones can help Myers then we have to go with that monster. Myers, Jones, McNabb, Pysyk, McCabe.....thats some nice potential in my opinion.
