Actually Myers plays better by the end of every year. Vanek was a ghost when we needed him to make the playoffs last year. I believe 4 pts in a 16 games stretch at one point? Sound firmiliar?

7.75-7.75-7.75-7.75-6-4-3. That is a 6.28AAV. IMO it is a very realistic offer. It takes him till he is 36. His actual earning is $6.4MM so that is a raise of over a mil per year annually.

Some people will not except reality. In their mind Pommer is this amazing 2 way hockey player and a great captain. He could be -25 and vanek could be +25 and they would say Vanek is lazy.
