Dude-Vanek goes to the front of the net. He gets the wood laid to him constantly. He is basically scoring 12-15 goals a year within 10 feet of the goalie.

Ive seen Tyler Ennis get knocked around a lot more than Vanek, and he still has the heart and soul and to keep playing to the best of his ability.
Vanek doesnt get banged up in front of the net. He plays the front of the net to the slot on the PP, and he floats in the zone 5 on 5. He doesnt work the corners. He never has and never will. If Thomas Vanek gave 100% effort, and played all areas of the ice, he would be a top 10 player in the league, and probably consistently be scoring at least every 3rd game.
Who cares? Why is it so admirable that he plays in front of the net. He's a freaking goal scorer. He needs to score more consistently if he's going to be our best player - sbroads24

Vanek could do nothing the rest of the 19 games and everyone would still call Vanek our best forward. Its pathetic. The only knock I have on Ennis is that he gets knocked off the puck too easily, and often falls down on his accord. The falls usually happen after he turns too quickly, and he loses his balance. Watch him next game.

He misses games dude because he gets hurt, or tries to play through it. That's why his production drops off. Listen, this team sucks. The three Amigos need to go while we can get something for them - if I had to keep one - I'd keep Vanek. My opinion - that's all - I would rather dump the wet noodle captain and the bumhole goalie - and I'd sell Vanek too if I could get enough back for him.

LOL, you said Vanek is our best player. Aside from the first 11 games of the year, you lose the argument for the past 5 seasons. Better all around player- Pominville.
