Teams over pay at the deadline. Time is now. Goose doesn't get us a first at the draft. - sbroads24
Agree.
With so many teams (besides us ) in the playoff hunt, there could be a "bidding war" (I use the term loosely, however, as we are talking about Sabres players). |

Rather have McNabb up.... - JVince11 why? are issue is getting the puck out fast and not turning it over. Thats what pysyk does well.

Understandable point...
I think the fact that it was Sekera that went down (offensive puck mover) is what caused the call up to be Pysyk... whereas if it would have been a Leo, Weber, or Regehr.. it would have been McNabb. |

McNabb is good... but i am more just on an evaluation mission here.. i want to see if Pysyk can keep up the smooth solid play and get rid of the growing pains... We know McNabb can play in the NHL but he still has a few things to work on and he should know what they are and keep working on them. |

I think we need to trade our big guys for youth and picks...
I wish the Pommer for Brown talk was still on the table...
Could you imagine what would happen to this locker room and the toughness of this team if we could add Brown and Clarkson...
we would actually have multiple viable players who could wear the "C" |

I dont want either up this year with the bunch of losers we have. Keep them away from the poop show.
Next season with a new gm, coach, players, they can come play. |

That's my point, you have to remember who our GM is here and what team this is. The value of our players has drastically deflated and who's gonna stop Darcy from making another completely undermined trade like the one with Brennan. |

I love the Brown talk.
But to get a guy like Clarkson in the mindset to join a last place team like ours over the summer, I think we'd have to overpay big time. The last thing this team needs is another sh!t contract. I like Clarkson, I do. Don't get me wrong. He is exactly the type(s) of player(s) we need here (size, skill and spine), but he's had exactly ONE season where he scored over 30 goals, none others where he scored even 20, and he's never gained more than 50 points. He brings far more than goals and assists, yes, I know. But is he going to want $5-6 million/year? |

my offer a few pages ago included noessen......he's likely going to be a "brown" type player, but i think he has a bit more offensive upside.
kid almost made our team out of training camp |

Thats what I hate about the situation, I dont want Darcy making deals when he knows hes dead in the water. Get him out get a new guy in and let him go after the guys to help this team win.
If ROlston is the coach going forward get him the players that will play well with his system . |

I don't know a ton about prospects... so that one flew over my head... my bad..
I know the main prospects of every team like Silver and Zilb for Ottawa.
I would rather have Brown than a player who has Brown potential but will rely on this coaching staff to get him there. |

I am completely with you... I have made this same argument against Clarkson and Brown too... we need those scoring snipers in addition to guys like this.. do we really want to give up a 70 point scorer for a 50 point scorer.. but when I look at it... I think Pommer and Vanek are going to majorly decline in the next 2-3 years.. they are on the wrong side of 30.. already have huge contracts..
I think if we can add a pure scorer in the draft.. have Armia next year.. I think we will look pretty good on paper going forward... |

noessen is the sens top prospect, not currently on the roster.
last year, when sens were pushing for nash, everything i read said murray was more willing to include zibanejad then noessen.
granted, zibby wasn't having a great season, and has come on strong since....but that still says something about noessen.
he's gonna definitely be a brown/hartnell/morrow type guy. put up decent points, but be physical, and a total ass to play against.
also, i did include bishop and a 1st in my proposal. |
