noessen is the sens top prospect, not currently on the roster.

last year, when sens were pushing for nash, everything i read said murray was more willing to include zibanejad then noessen.

granted, zibby wasn't having a great season, and has come on strong since....but that still says something about noessen.

he's gonna definitely be a brown/hartnell/morrow type guy. put up decent points, but be physical, and a total ass to play against.

also, i did include bishop and a 1st in my proposal.

Tis why I said I would do it.

I think you guys are too confident that Darcy is gonna make a good trade at the deadline, and even more confident that he will trade those guys to begin with...

I love the Brown talk.

But to get a guy like Clarkson in the mindset to join a last place team like ours over the summer, I think we'd have to overpay big time. The last thing this team needs is another sh!t contract. I like Clarkson, I do. Don't get me wrong. He is exactly the type(s) of player(s) we need here (size, skill and spine), but he's had exactly ONE season where he scored over 30 goals, none others where he scored even 20, and he's never gained more than 50 points. He brings far more than goals and assists, yes, I know. But is he going to want $5-6 million/year?

A very good point. Once again.... Buffalo is not a place good players want to come to.....

McNabb is good... but i am more just on an evaluation mission here.. i want to see if Pysyk can keep up the smooth solid play and get rid of the growing pains... We know McNabb can play in the NHL but he still has a few things to work on and he should know what they are and keep working on them.
- SabresFaninIndiana

I agree. The Sabres know McNabb. He's played some NHL games last year.

Regier attended 3 Amerks games last week. He and Rolston know who they want to evaluate and see at the NHL level.

Why would we even be making a trade? We should be selling and getting as much as we can in return.

Is McNabb more expendable if the Sabres end up with the #1 pick? Sabres have to take Jones at #1 right? I just feel like there will be more trade activity on draft day or during the summer.

Yeah I think people forgot that this is Hockey not Baseball... where people actually care more about winning than their paycheck most of the time.

Clearly Pegula is only in this to sell tickets, which is why they should just hire Roy. We could use a coach like him and it would also bring a whole lot of publicity to the club and sell tickets like crazy (even though they already are). It's a win-win when you look at it.

I'm not confident in Darcy. But if he finally labels us "sellers" the market will define itself. I can see him grabbing 1 or even 2 extra first round picks by trading 1 or 2 of the big 3, along with some prospects and younger guys for a rebuild. The Hodgson trade which he defined as a "hockey trade" has worked out. I trust him more to make a few trades rather than construct an entire rebuild. Darcy regardless of how bad this team is has not made a horrible trade.

Depends on if you take Jones or McKinnon. Both are elite level prospects.

Still drunk from St. Patties day? Also why do we need publicity stunts to sell tickets? We sell just fine without them.

if the sabres get the #1 overall i would think they would take drouin because they have mcnabb, pysyk and mccabe.. but who really knows. i wouldn't really be mad at either but we need that all star offensive talent we lack

No I'm not, I actually think Roy would be a nice fit in this club. While Cooper and Eakins are also good selections for sure as well.

If Darcy comes out and labels us as sellers, the value of our players will further go down. Other GMs will smell the desperation and not offer quality.

There was a lock out and only 15 people didnt sign back up for tickets. We could add 2k seats to the arena and still have a waiting list with sell outs
