if the plan is to remove reiger in the off season, why let him trade vanek, miller and pominville now? wouldnt make sense to let the guy go a couple months from now if you let him possibly trade away some of your big assets at the deadline.

Actually, that was Kaleta chirping Kovy a few weeks ago, IIRC. But the point remains. Last night, as poopty as the team was as a whole, Ott suckered that rookie Oleksy into taking a dumb penalty, and took Ovi off the ice when he was killing us.

It doesn't even bother me that he took that dumb call himself at the end of the game, does anyone really think we were about to overcome a 2 goal deficit? Ott was effective again last night. Again, one of the ONLY players that showed up.

I dont think he has the offensive upside of Simmonds.....I think Foligno caps out as a 15G guy....hope I'm wrong.

I think so too, IMO I'd move 29 and 30 and try to keep 26.

I'd like to keep Miller, too, if possible. I think 30 and 26 are the vets this team builds around. If we didn't leave Miller hanging out to dry this year, I think he'd be in conversation for the Vezina. He's been out of his skull this season.

Agreed. Like 89 said, take advantage of teams that are making a serious push. Like we did with Nashville. We have some peices that teams would over pay for. Nothing should be off limits IMO

To me, I think Pominville is the obvious choice. Then we can avoid "ripping the C off his jersey," which for some reason is something it seems a lot of people are afraid of doing.

I disagree, Foligno has better hands than Simmonds. Foligno just needs to emulate the way Simmonds plays

I hope firing him is the plan, even though they extended him a few months back. Unfortunatley, I'd be willing to bet that Regier will be here next year
