Ever wonder why Corvo went from LA to Ottawa to Carolina to Washington to Carolina to Boston to Carolina? Likes to travel?
from - strongsupporter
From what I gather he's not the right fit for some...his defensive play is suspect at best...but paired with the right guy and put on the PP he can be an asset...but with his age now, only a stop gap. |

Yeah, I'd trade for Jagr if the price is Gervais and Foster - Jsaquella
Hell, toss in Walker while you're at it...wouldn't want to see him walk for nothing as a UFA, right? |

I would be real hesitant to move Hartnell.. Yes he is an idiot so far this season but lets not forget the numbers he has put up the past 3-4 years along with the fact he had been the one constant on the top line for a reason.
Unless you are getting something similar back or he is moved in a package to land you a true number 1 damn I dont think you can give up his goals, physicality or personality very easily.

Wiercoch is another one to keep an eye on, he has a rocket slap shot that gets through to the goalie more often then not. |

No because he only played well with Briere and he'll be bought out too. |

Honestly I've thought a lot about it, and while I think he could get a huge return to fill a need, I really can't see them trading Hartnell. |

Depends on what he'll cost, but why not? You could do worse. |

Vancouver can't afford to keep Luongo as a backup making $5.3m against the cap till 2022.
Chicago can wait till summer 2014 to decide on Hossa, but they know the summer after that Kane and Toews will both be free agents that are due huge raises. - Feanor
Yes but Lou has trade value, you buy him out and lose him for nothing. Even after getting rid of Lou Van is still in cap trouble |

4.5m is a lot for a #6 Defenseman.

I don't think he has much trade value which is why Vancouver has been unable to trade him so far. But if they got a good return for him this offseason, I'll admit I was wrong. |

The team defense is their biggest issue right now and will be unless they start drafting/developing dmen or trade a promising forward for one or two, that won't change. - aantny88
I disagree with that completely. The Flyers can improve their team defense without making a single player move. |

Sure it can. By going out and getting a Leddy or OEL they wont resolve a single (frank)ing problem they are currently having. Why? Simply because the attention to team defense is thrown out the window in order to focus on aggressive forecheck and offense.
Instead of having 3 forwards deep on the puck, with a pinching D-man... why not settle back a bit and make a team beat you from their blue line out. The reason the Flyers are such an easy team to play against, and score against is because they are constantly chasing the play. Puck gets down deep and we get three guys stuck.. Opposing d-man makes a simply chip around the boards where their winger gets into a foot race with our pinching d-man.. they get it by the d-man and its an odd man rush with our weak side winger trying his balls off to get back.
You want to begin to resolve our woes in net? Do it by correcting the 18 skaters in front of him who refuse to play a sound defensive game. - jak521
