ty, I understand now. Have you considered adding a fourth or fifth thing? - BulliesPhan87
Hey, hey! No fifths on the job!! |

Only money above $900K.
So if the guy makes that or less, there's zero cap implications or penalties if he's sent to the minors, except for over 35 guys.
Even with over 35 guys there's conditions. The Flyers save $100K on Lilja by having him in the AHL. Also, it's only on the second or later year of an over 35 contract that the deal counts if a guy is on the cap or not. - Jsaquella
That's right... Forgot about the 900k rule. Thanks. |

Factor in the LTIR relief from Pronger and his effective cap hit is miniscule - Jsaquella
For that kind of money, I'd rather go with Brian Campbell. |

Perhaps you should use a different term, rather than expecting everybody to disregard the established connotation of the asterisk. That little cross symbol works pretty well, doesn't quite roll off the tongue (keyboard?) like 'asterisk, though. - BulliesPhan87
Yupper, I suppose. I don't view "asterisk" as inherently negative.
Not familiar with the little cross symbol. The hashtag? Or one of the many actual symbols available, like wingdings or wtf they are?

I'd limit that to Voracek only. But that's just my opinion on the matter. G has struggled all season, and Simmonds has been very average 5v5 and poor defensively.
Without a Top 10 powerplay, this Flyers team is exposed.
Anyway, I'm good with trading some vets to contenders for picks and/or prospects, looking at the FA market this summer, and going from there.
The Flyers picked a good season to under-achieve. This year's Stanley Cup is going to have an asterisk beside it, and although I would take it, I'd prefer the Flyers didn't end their drought in a shortened season. And it seems there is very little chance of that happening, so the organization should start looking to next season. - wolfhounds
For 500k and change, I think Rinaldo is MORE than earning his paycheck!

Actually yes. But I doubt you wish to work for the "man"... Corporate life blows monkey chunks. Although your hiring manager would be a punk who listens to goth music while reviewing resumes and giggling to herself at the lies when not wasting time on the Flyersbuzz board. |

So, what about years with Olympic participation? Should there be an asterisk those years, too? They're out of the ordinary. Gives teams without a lot of participants a break and a chance to heal up. - Jsaquella
Fair question. I suppose in the strictest usage sense, yes, there should (and likely is) a footnote associated with any changes in what would be deemed a "normal" season.
Here's a question: Do you believe a condensed 48 game season is more, less, or about as fatiguing as a 82 game regular season? |

The forwards must really blow when we're arguing for more ice time for Rinaldo. |

So what you're saying is you have no idea what the hashtag is?
I wish I had a good example for you, something to show you to remove the cloud of doubt you're clearly living in.
