I do too. I also think it was less likely that JVR would ever reach his full potential in Philly. I'm never a big fan of players, especially young players, playing in their home towns (or close to it in JVR's case). Too much family, too much pressure, too many distractions, at least in most cases. Not that there was any evidence that JVR was distracted when he was here, but I think the move away from home and a fresh start in a new city is doing wonders for him.

Fact of life, people will be pissed when they trade Read for Bouwmeester or Yandle next week

They'll end up with the number two pick overall, then package that with Couturier for the #1 overall pick and end up with someone who never plays a single game in the NHL for some reason, while the other team wins the Cup the following year.

Well, if we get Yandle for Read, I won't be pissed.

I will if all we give up Read for Bouwmeester. Never been a fan of his (or his cap hit). And Read is practically indispensable on this team, and quite a bargain. I wouldn't give up anything more than a mid to late round pick for JBo. I realize he is probably worth more than that, but I just don't like the guy, and don't really want him on the Flyers.
