There is a difference between fighting and being jumped...
POS Orr jumped Kaleta...
Some grumpy vendettas against kaleta - JVince11
You can't say jumped when a guy talks then acts surprised when someone wants to fight. |

Yea snd steve moore turtled when bertuzzi "challenged" him to a fight in your opinion too I bet - JVince11
exactly.. once again because somebody talks crap doesnt mean he has to fight....stick and stones.... |

I'm not saying he is stupid, just saying if he is going to play dirty then talk smack, expect to get your ass handed to you by a tougher player. - bryant
That's fine, I think he expects that. If he decides it's best for his team for him to use his face as a punching bag and not drop his gloves I'll ask again who's smarter? Those players also have to expect that he's yapping them for a reason trying to draw them in......it goes both ways. |

being a little dramatic...when you play on the edge like they do, yep, sometimes you will go over it. - Homer
I'm not even that guy. But how many times are we gonna see that hit 5 feet from the end boards from behind, see a guy go face first, neck bent like a pretzel and get up unscathed? Happens all thetime... Good pplayer dirty players.. Innocent plays and malicious ones. But the guys I've mentioned have a tendency to hunt for hits like that.. Or chase a play to make it happen.. Just saying I'd rather see a league full of Stamkos ' than Kaleta' s. Perry is the perfect example.. Plays hard and occasionally crosses the line.. This kind of hockey I love.. But someone how can't do much more... Is simply filling a spot because they can sucks guys into stupid 29 pims |

If orr didn't have a lennay kekua (imaginary) nut sack then he should have challenged patty... and chucked his gloves and waited for kaleta to do the same... jt that wasn't the case... orr grappled kaleta immediately like a dipsh! T |

Lol would you take a fistful of punches for a penalty call, or do you think he just was afraid to actually drop the gloves? |

You see now the conversation is changing from him yapping and running to dirty hits. As in my previous post....I will defend him for his yapping and general gamesmanship, drawing penalties, killing penalties and dropping the gloves enough to not be called out for not fighting. I will not defend his recklessness and lapses of judgment on some of his hits. He deserves everything he's called for those. No place in the game for that. |

Do you actually believe kaleta said nothing and was just standing there then all of a sudden Orr wants to fight? |

I think "no" he likely doesn't want to fight him. But hell yes he'll take those punches to help his team. He's done it for years now. He knows what got him to the show and what he needs to do and accept as part of his job to be effective and stay here. I believe eating knuckles is part of his job description. |

You can't call another player a POS when defending kaleta, Orr isn't a dirty player, kaleta obviously did something! |

he is a dirty player....youre assuming he did something, you have no idea.
Hitting a guy in the face multiple times when he doesnt wanna fight you and furthermore had no chance because he got jumped is dirty. period. |

Normally mauling a player would get discipline but ee all know that the safety of sabre play ers to shanahan isn't important. .
Richards dives - pk gets 5
Ennis gets boarded 3 timed in 2 games - nothing
Joke. |

Oh I'm sure Kaleta probably said something, it probably wasn't blowing him a kiss but that's what he does. He played his shot, balls in Orr's court. Show restraint or hurt your team? Well we know the answer....I just can't wrap my head around not knowing Kaleta is trying to sucker guys in. |

Fair enough.
If that's what you want out of him I can't argue with you. To be a punching bag for penalties.
I was surprised that he was a penalty killer, is he a fairly good defensive forward? |

THIS^....and you didn't even add Schenn's hit directly between the 4 and 2 on Gerbe. For gods sake he tried to turn him into a board advertisement. Or Bourdon last year....believe thatnwas Gerbe too.
When it comes to the Sabres....Shanaban appears not to give a Sh!t |

I don't know why this discussion comes up so much... Who cares?
Until the NHL starts taking enforcement of dirty hits seriously, they will continue... Every team has guys that do it, some more than others, but that's just how it goes
I'd like to think that one day the NHL will get it right, but I'm not holding my breath either |

Honestly I've not seen someone throw themselves in front of shots to block them with more reckless abandon in years. Dude eats bullets on the PK |
