haha, I was going to call him Dr. Evil, but yeah he's gone. It's sad to say, but we passed Tampa last night because of their loss. What's even sadder, is that team is horrible and they beat us twice including our last game..(add that to two home losses vs Florida) One thing I will say, is we definitely don't deserve to make the playoffs.

I dont want to build a culture of tanking. If they can put on some kind of forest gump miracle then I am all in. I would still be giving the kids most of the minutes however (Schenn/Coots).

I've been pissing on the need to play Briere in the middle because he is worthless on the wing, has been his whole time here. If the organization doesnt plan on buying him out then they need to put him where he can contribute.

If they do end up getting close and missing there are still good playes up for grabs. At least one of Morrissey, Pulock, Ristolainen or Nurse should be available in the middle of the pack.

Is JBo's current cap hit a big deal when he only has one year left and Briere won't be here for the 2013-14 season? I wouldn't consider trading for him unless he was willing to accept a lower cap hit on his next contract.

Under a new coach that will hopefully install a more defensively responsible system, and if consistently paired with Timonen or Grossmann, I think Coburn can be a solid player.
I would rather package Mezaros and Read for JayBo as long as Calgary will assume at least 30% of the cap hit. Since his deal is up in 2014, its not a far fetched request. Read will be a tough resign due to cap reasons in 2014, and at a reduced hit of roughly 4.7million, JayBo would be a great fit and solid upgrade.

Going into 13-14 with a D of JayBo, Timonen, Schenn, Coburn, Grossmann and either Gus or if we get really lucky Seth Jones, would be fine by me.
