He needs to be better for sure.
If Giroux cannot return to being an elite player in the league, the Flyers have a lot more of a problem than missing a #1 d-man.
I think he will, but damn he plays too fancy dancy this year. - flyer_nutter
time to trade Giroux and rebuild the roster with the motherload of prospects and draft picks he will fetch.... cant afford his next contract anyway s |

They played okay but were running around too much in their own end.
Bryzgalov saved their ass tonight.
I think Pittsburgh deserved it, and I may have to pull some pubes to punish myself for saying that.
They couldnt handle the Pens down low, and had trouble along the boards all night. - flyer_nutter
They missed Grossman's physicality along the boards (among other things)... |

He's trying make it all happen. He'll come back next year with a fire in his belly, especially during a contract year. |

They earned the one point. Pittsburgh is a better team right now, and I thought most of the team gave it their all.
Flyers just need some better pieces, but I really liked when I saw from Meszaros, Coots and Rinaldo tonight. - flyer_nutter
Yeah Mez looked better than he had been looking after coming back...so there's that. |

So true. He has been their best defenseman this year. |

It was interesting to watch Simmonds play like a man possessed after his penalty. His line with Schenn and Gagne had some dominating shifts after it was 1-1. So, he can play like that if he wants to. Why does it need to take a gaffe for him to play like that? |

I was so close but I decided against it. We needed a "win" today. |

I think Simmonds is the reason they lost the game. Stupid penalty at the wrong time. During the overtime he was on the ice way too long running around in the defensive end covering no-one. |

Why did it take so long to get Briere off that line is a more relevant question. |

There's only one solution, but they're apparently going to let it run till the end. |
