2 Things.

1. Your claim that, "He did nothing wrong." Whether Sestito faked his injury or not, you dont shove a guy from behind when he is skating towards the boards and reaching for a puck. So despite the extent of the injury, he DID do something wrong. (For the record, hockey is a tough game, and i think the penalty was ample punishment for the hit, and no suspension was warranted.

2. Your claim that he "hardly" pushed him is pure conjecture. You have no clue how hard he was shoved.

Net/Net, you're grumpy that Shanny blew the Nash call, so you're acting out like a pissy toddler.

No one cares about the florida panthers, no one in florida even knows they exist.

What a homer you are, that is the same hit Kaleta got 5 games for. He should of been suspended too, so should Nash. That is why the NHL is not taken serious, if and when supplemental penalty is given is based on who the player is and what team he plays for. Shannahan is total garbge.!

I can just see that conversation playing out in the dressing room. All of the trainers surrounding Kovy in a panic, when one of the coaches run in and say, "Hey guys that tostito guy is hurt!" They all sort of look at each other and unanimously decide to let him die on the ice. Then they opt to send out the equipment manager to at least appear concerned.

Love the effort tonight from the Panthers, it's like they played last night and had a 5pm game today or something.....

Man the NHL scheduling is not nice to the Panthers. Next year it's going to be even better having the farthest to travel for each division games. It's crazy how Philly and Washington (the two closest to the Panthers) are now in a different division. I forgot if Carolina changed too... probably. Stupid, we go to Canada and Detroit now for just division. I'm not even talking about going out west. Panthers will be at the bottom again next year. We are forecasting to have Bjugstad as our top line center. Weiss is smart enough not to resign in FLA. That's solid, Tallon letting the kids take the beating for 1-3 years only to ruin their confidence and growth.

Future obviously looks bright in Florida.

Vincent Trocheck has been on a tear for quite some time now. You guys think he can stick with the Panthers next season?
I saw a great scouting report about Trocheck on twitter @YoungGunsDaily its called NHL YOUNG GUNS DAILY and they compared Trocheck to Sam gagner of the Oilers. Pretty cool they said Trocheck will be a 2nd line center in the NHL with FLA

I agree Dan! Great blog and how about those missed calls at the end of the Isles game??? Wow i must say officiating has been fair to the cats.

Yes, Trocheck has been great. However, he's been great in the OHL. He will need to play in San Antonio, like all other prospect, before he can play here with the big club.

As far as officiating goes, yes it has not been fair. The Nash hit was a travesty, and most people will say the same. It's done, and you have to move on at this point.

I'm not saying it because I'm a Florida fan, but the hit on Sestito was total embellishment on his part. Please watch the replay with your eyes open.. Robak only fleeced his jersey and upon feeling the contact, it's clear that Sestito went to dive and caught an edge, thus causing the impact with the boards. Had it of been different and Robak board him, I would be calling for a suspension. But he barely made contact. The more disgusting part of that play was Tom "why am I in the NHL" Kostopoulos. He was belting Robak with rib shots while he was defenseless on the ice. But I digress, it's over and done with. Thankfully, Sestito is not hurt. I will also say that the NJ training staff was wrong to not send someone out immediately.

Bottom line, this season has sucked major balls and I'm glad there's only 15 games left.

Carolina is not in our division, you are correct. However, a part of me believes it was FLA who called for their placement to help facilitate more rivalry with the "bigger" clubs. Purely a move made from the business point of view.

I don't think you can say we will be at the bottom next season. Let's be honest, if we were healthy for longer than two games this season we could have done some damage. We are a much better team than NJ and NYI. We are a better team the the NYR and Carolina. This season hasn't been a fair way to gauge where we're going as a team.

In all fairness, Nash's hit was done in the heat of the moment to prevent a scoring chance. The hit on sestito was a simple play on the boards, he could have just tied him up against the boards, instead he made the lazy play...

Most negative, nonsensical, pessimistic article I've ever read on Hockeybuzz.
