Do you see this team going 3-1-1? I'm not sure I see this team getting close to .500 again. - Flyskippy
I think they could pretend to be a good team over the next five games, sure. |

I know, his family will have a huge impact on his decisions too (probably more then anything). I think PHX could be a possible destination for that reason. He has lived there and played for them before. And lets admit it. AZ is a nice place to live. All speculation on my part. - coffee junkie

PHX is a nasty hot place but Prescott, Flag, Tuscon are all cool. You like Philly more? |

This is where I think people tend to get stuck. Not many teams have a guy in their back pocket thats gonna net you a top end d-man. What we do have is an abundance of younger very promising forwards. You can use Schenn or Couts or Voracek or etc. and get a deal done. - jak521
would you be impressed w/ the flyers forward mix if they traded (at the very least) b schenn and gusty for yandle? just trying to approximate the EJ and gogo deals and frankly, i think I'm buying low. at some point you run out of talent to trade and then you get into draft picks and then you run out of cap space.
Dmen as an asset are worth more than forwards on balance. i agree w/ your approach to drafting dmen from the 2nd rnd on, cause something has to change. |

Murray is tough, but he's also looked like he's lost 5 steps. Really having a rough go this season. |

That's what I heard, but maybe a trade to PIT will be just what the doctor ordered. Who knows, only time shall tell there. |

Where'd you see that?
He's a solid addition for the Pens, but it really comes down to what they gave up for another rental. |

Wow, Kypreos says the price on Murray is 2 2nd rounders or a 2nd & 3rd.

Right, but if they go 3-1-1, they might be right back in the thick of things for a playoff spot. And likely wouldn't trade Briere. - bradleyc4
Rangers
Islanders
Bruins
Capitals
Canadiens
All at home but I don't see them going 3-1-1. 2-3 if they're lucky.
Edit, and meanwhile the other East teams are playing each other with someone getting two points and the other maybe getting one point. It is realistic to say it's impossible for them to gain enough ground to squeak into the playoffs. They are five points out and need to jump over five teams to get that last spot. |
