You can't buy out a player who isn't cleared to play. However, as long as the player is cleared to play, he can be bought out.

I'd want one for Coburn, Meszaros' recent injury history has me more leery on him.

This season has sucked, no doubt, but I'm still high on the future of this team.

Not that I dont love dogging on the Sabres, but no need to disrespect Briere because he has done great things in the O&B. I hate to bring up 2010 but had we won 2 more games he would have been our Conn Smythe winner. If we can trade him, great. If he gets bought out, thats fine too but no need to corner the guy with pitchforks and torches
