I understand arguing just to argue, it's the conversing of choice around here. I'd just thought there be a better topic to swing your cock at. - GirouxForTheShow
there's nothing that goes on here that involves the part of my body you're referring too. |

good to see acknowledgement of the flyers scoring problems this yr. would you be open to campbell if FL ate enuf salary? - isaiah520
I'd prefer Bouwmeester, Byfuglien and Yandle, but it's more an age thing. |

Get as many picks as you can for all the UFAs and Wellwood since they won't use him anyway. Then move up or go after a top 4 Dman with picks and a DMan. Not easy, but doable. - jstross
eh, i'd prefer to hang on to young depth. unless someone bowled homer over for wellwood (which i doubt would happen) |

@SteveBurtch: Franson and JvR benched - shocking in an OT 4on4 situation. |

Watching that game now. JvR looks the same as he was in Philly. Does circles in the Dzone like he is chasing his tail.
Every TOR game I watch I get more and more impressed with Kadri. |

Briere for Nathan Beaulieu and a pick would be a nice trade

I don't believe the team necessarily needs a true #1 d-man only because they are so hard to attain unless you draft one. With that being said, I think there has to be a different mix to the d core regardless of the coach next season. I'm completely comfortable with Grossmann and Schenn as the stay at home d-men. Kimmo can be effective if they can protect him and keep his minute below 20 minutes/night. My problem is the $8 + million/yr the team is dedicating to Coburn and Mez. Way too much money for the production, which I'm not sure can get better between the two. I'm okay with letting one of the two go via trade. Keep one, trade for a Yandle or Buff and go real cheap and young with the #6 d-man and a grizzled veteran cheap #7 d-man. Personally, I'm expecting big things from Ghost. I don't believe he starts with the big club, but I wouldn't be shocked to see him up after the New Year next year in that #6 d-man role. I think the guy has some real ability. - ravishingone
You nailed. I think coburn should be shopped. Yandle is an excellent fit. La scored two goals Bc of voynov and doughty rushing down the ice. No flyers dmen currently have the wheels or skill to attempt what they did. |

the prob w/ that is he only has 1 more yr left on his contract and he's a somewhat declining plyr who's 37 nxt yr. i'd look elsewhere. |

yea i'd be talking bargain. i doubt the price would be cheap enough, but i'd be inquiring at least. think he could be a nice short term help, if they decide to part ways with any d men |

Coburn and forward for Yandle?
That enough or too much? |

Jsaq brought up the fact that Yandle isn't physical and it would bother some. I would be one of those.
Its not so much that I have an issue with, its I hate d-men who are supposed to be paid big money, however you have to shield them from other top lines. I dont like d-men who can't handle the physical game down low. Guys like Subban (just to throw a name out there), are offensive d-men but they aren't outmatched physically down low, at least not as much as I've sometimes seen with Yandle. You could pair him with Grossman for example but I think other top teams would still target him with their best offensive players.
We all have guys we would prefer. I'd rather go after Streit, and build through the draft instead of giving up assets for Yandle. Although I wouldnt be too pissed off if he was on the team. |

I think with Yandle you are looking at starting with either Voracek, Brayden Schenn or Coots. D-man aren't cheap, and established guys are always worth more than "potential". |
