So, a third line guy that is a great penalty killer, but has limited scoring ability is worth a top D prospect? They are delusional. - Oneonta Penguin
It appears a few of the more reasonable Flyers fans shot down that idea as being rather ludicrous. |

CAR places J.Jokinen and T.Wallace and OTT places K.Daugavins on Waivers.
Man, how Jussi Jokinen has fallen. Still owed $3 mil next season.
If nothing else, with Jokinen and Daugavins getting sent down, AHL shootouts just got more exciting lol |

Its a shame that Despres is going to get the raw end of the Murray deal. |

He's young and he'll be hungry next year. He's good and we all want to see him but I think going with the veterans is the right choice this year. What a great insurance policy if someone gets hurt though. |

It's true, he's done nothing to be outed from the lineup.
That being said, based on how the season has unfolded (i.e. playing a few games, being scratched, etc.), I don't see anything really phasing him at this point. You're walking a fine line playing this game, but Despres has seemed to be able to perform no matter what the circumstance. |

Hey Twitter freaks, how come nobody has mentioned Jussi on waivers yet. I have a feeling Orpik44 might want him. - canadianpenfan
Is he a playoff type of guy? If we picked him up it would be for depth (on the bench), like Sykora/Satan were in the cup run when they fell out of favor. |

I doubt he even makes it to us in the waiver wire. And no we wouldnt claim him anyway |

I hope they dont put geno and Tanger back in the same game. Either of them coming back changes things a lot so it kinda worries me if theyre both back tonight. Would prefer they come back in back to back games. Hard to say they wont make us better but hard to say the boys arent playing great at the same time |

I just think a scorned player is something thats hard to get over, I love what Eaton has done but has he really been better than Despres? |

Just yesterday you told me Dustin Jeffrey would fetch a pick and wouldn't need to be waived. Now a guy that needed to get waived is more preferable to Jeffrey on your roster? What gives? |

A couple years ago many people saw Jokinen as a possibility for our team. But as you said, we wouldn't have a chance to pick him up even if we tried. |

I guess he's just trying to fill a hole in our team as we need a capable 4th liner. Jeffrey is not that guy as he's more like a 3rd and a 2nd line when needed. |

Jussi jokinen is a guy who can turn his game around though on a different team. I'd be shocked if he isn't claimed |

I think he has actually but I may be in the minority. I just think Eaton has been really, really good. If Despres had played a full season or two I would agree with the notion he might be scorned. But as it stands these are just the growing pains a young hockey player has to endure when he's part of an organization that is challenging for cups and not in rebuild mode. |

Bylsma: "(Morrow trade) happened because of that (Staal) trade" b/c the #Pens got the 2 young D-men assets that allowed then to move one
Never thought of it that way, but it makes sense. The Staal trade is a trade that keeps on giving lol. - rival22

No Malkin, Letang or Murray.
I don't expect much of Morrow tonight (producing points) but I hope he plays the game the right way, just like Cookie and Kuni.
Can't wait to see those two!

I really like what Eaton brings to the team he has been a great pick up, i think he has a calming presence on the ice and in the locker room. I just feel bad for Despres, that kid has played very well. |
