What I like most about these trades is that Shero did it a week before the deadline. I like getting in before the Frenzy. I just wish we didnt lose Morrow without giving him a shot at some point in Pitt first. But, if it means a cup, ill be happy with the move.

Wow I'm so pumped right now. We have the look of a true contender. Pretty complete team IMO. What you gonna do Boston? |
|
|

Shero overpaying for Murray and a little bit for Morrow may have just boosted the values of Jefferey, Bortuzzo, Engelland, And possibly TK. Jefferey has been a 2nd line center the last few games and may get more than we think |

A nice one to have
They just updated on CapGeek.
We gotta trade Engo or Borts. Could we get a 4th round pick for one of them? |

I would play Despres over Eaton. - hipcheck_goalie
Wow is that a hard call, Eaton has played so well. Wow things are getting really tough for Byslma. |

JEFFREY HAS NO VALUE!!!!!!!!!!
Murray will help the PK. That seems to be a big reason he was acquired. |

If you watched Jeffrey last night you shouldn't be thinking we'd get much. |

He's not terrible. If he could finish then it'd be nice, but he's a hard worker. We got a 5th for letestu. Get a 4th or 5th for DJ |

GREAT move by Shero. The Pens just got a LOT harder to play against in the past 24 hours.
Letang-Despres
Orpik-Martin
Niskanen-Murray
Eaton, Engelland, and Bortuzzo to the press box.
That, my friends, is a solid top 6. |

|

Why move him for a 5th or 6th though? You dont just move players to move players. |

Despres will be a healthy scratch or sent down now, so dont be shocked when that happens. - Gunner Staal
I know the 4th-line has been playing better, but it'd be interesting to test-out dressing 7 defensemen for a few games and scratching one of the 4th-line forwards. |

Yes, but he can't finish. He just doesn't have the innate skills and sense...6th or 7th for him if they have to move him. |

The fact Ray traded him to Dallas should send a message to you that he slipped in the eyes of management. We still have Harrington, Maatta, Pouliott, Dumoullin, Samuelsson, and the kid we got from Phoenix.

You're not you're moving players because you need roster spots. Either send Despres/bennett down which is a terrible decision or you have to put guys on waivers and lose them for nothing. |

No you don't and I would keep Jeffrey because he's a solid fill on the top 3 lines. However defense is a numbers game and you might have to move Bortuzzo just to make a trade unless you're OK wit Despres in WBS |

Either that or waivers. The Pens are running out of roster spots. |
