Seem to be moving the puck pretty well, just gotta get some more shots on net...and throw the puck at the net instead of looking for the perfect pass.
And don't take any more penalties. - wolfhounds
The constant missing the net from prime scoring areas is just absurd. Read missed the net from the slot, and Fedetenko missed the net on an odd man rush. Those two shots hit the net and this easily could be a 3-3 game. |

It's not systemic, at least not tonight. It's a lack of discipline. The third NY goal had the forwards all get caught high, and then nobody picked up Nash down low. The lack of discipline is part of my issues with the coach.
Yes, it falls on the players, too, but the coach needs to lead the way there. Unless you'd agree that "demoting" a guy to the third line but continuing to use him on the PP and end up playing him 1:39 less than his average somehow sends a message of discipline - Jsaquella
Im going to let it go, but would benching Timonen for his stupid plays, or Coburn and Hartnell to a degree make them all of the sudden play better and not so stupid?
Would benching Luke Schenn make him play better because of his mistakes this evening?
At the end of it all though, I do agree there needs to be better accountability. I think its too late for that now though.

don't worry, everyone. the flyers will storm the 3 period and win, giving the rangers their first regulation loss in 70 games when leading after 2 periods, catapulting themselves back into the playoff race of which will eventually claim the 8th seed before going on to win their first Cup since 1975.

No, it's not hard for a Coach to make changes. It might take a little bit of time for the players to adjust. But the point is that the adjustments that can be made should already be part of a teams systems play. Watch how the Rangers change in the 3rd to protect the lead. Good teams can play more then one way.
I agree about the little mistakes. - MJL
The Rangers puck support as a 5 man unit is just so much more consistent then the Flyers. Is that coaching, personnel, system? About to be 1 and 10 against the Rangers is no accident. |

I think it's pretty clear that the Flyers really are lost in their own zone. And it's been that way all year. They made some adjustments on the forecheck which are long overdue. But the D zone coverage has not improved all year. I think that's a product of the Coach and his lack of attention to detail in the defensive game. - MJL
Lavy seems to have taken his lack of attention to defensive zone coverage to a whole new level this year. |

Its a little bit what I am getting at.
In a short season where every win means something, and an organization that has zero patience, I can see where playing the guys who have on the past been your most effective players comes into play. Its bit them in the ass big time. |

after the game the Flyers should dig out that video camera that was used to record the C being sewn on Desjardins's jersey and use it to record the A being sewn on Simmer's. |

Probably was waiting for the players to gel at the start of the year, but he had to notice at some point before last week that it wasn't happening.
