Rags announcers shredding Bryzgalov. - PLindbergh31
They should. They should also include both defensemen. |

again, i don't blame bryz there. i just don't. horrendous d. - hammarby31
Gotta stop that. But I agree, Coburn was laughably bad, but that's what he does. |

Mark Howe? - Jsaquella
That was a serious question, but only because you are ragging on Laviolette a lot for his ice time management. I would argue he doesn't have much of a choice, as aside from Timonen, most of the D sucks (this year). |

So... how many more games will the media label as "must-win" before they change their tune to "out of the playoffs?" |

it looks bad, and yeah, it's a save you need at this stage. but nash is whipping that shot perfectly with a long reach while spinning around the net on the forehand.
i'm just not pinning any of this on bryz. |

Except he's actually having a decent year.
The biggest problem is, when he makes a mistake with the puck, he gets benched. Then he starts playing afraid to make a mistake, which of course leads to mistakes. - Jsaquella
I'm not necessarily talking about stats. It's his overall play.
Giveaways, bad passes, bad decisions, unable to finish. Things that he's probably experiencing for the first time in his hockey life and perhaps is difficult for him to get a handle on.
I have no inside information, but it may be a organizational decision to limit his ice time at this point to maintain his growth. He may have a personality where he'll regress if he continues not to produce. Who here really knows?
I hope he's one player that they're being very careful with.

Those wrap arounds are very low % plays. Very rarely do you see guys slam dunk them in the net like that.
Coburn made like a mannequin and watched it all.
I want Coburn outta here. (Scott the Engineer voice) |

You can't when his teammates might as well be using bullfighter's capes instead of sticks. |
